Epic Backyard Makeover on a BUDGET ~ Extreme Patio/Pool area makeover 

Idea, maybe use a stand alone coat rack to hang the pool towels on to dry.

Cambriea I like how Bobby cleaned the inside, and you did the outside. Both of you did a great job. Bobby really shocked me.

The white ceiling beams blend in with the sky and make the pool area look huge. If you paint the ceiling beams it will make the ceiling look lower because it would act like a solid roof visually. It looks beautiful

Getting to your video late and hope you see this. A dock box for the toys would make your life a lot easier and it can be wood or wook looking. Also, the children are fine in whatever they wear to play in their backyard. I had a horse and before we moved to acreage, I boarded him with a friend of the family. Every time I went over there, the two children (a boy and a girl) would come flying out of the house butt naked and run and play. At first people were mortified but the more we watched them in their complete freedom and fun, it was hard not to laugh and just go along with it. Those same children are probably in their 50s and late 40s now. I wish I could see them again just to rib them about it! 🤣

girl! you outdid yourself here! it looks so fresh and clean! i know how you are with plants please don't let that beautiful palm die! i have over a 100 houseplants and cringe when i see you have a new one..lol. a suggestion for the pool toys is a plastic chest. my mom has one she puts her outdoor cushions in when it's bad weather. great job hunny. you and bobby are amazing!

Looks absolutely amazing. The concrete was definitely a “trust the process” type of scenario. I know it’s not my home so my opinion doesn’t matter but I was skeptical at first when you were doing the trim work but after it was all painted and tried it turned out beautifully

That looks amazing! I love what you did with the editing; I'm not even sure if it was an accident or on purpose. When you're painting the concrete and you're almost done, the song cuts back in and says "no you're not". I thought that was cute!

When you first started painting the black I thought, Oh No! but its beautiful. The outcome is gorgeous.

I have soooo many banana trees. They multiply like crazy. I love the black. I was going for a gray in my home and every paint i got ended up looking blue. I finally found a beautiful gray called Absolute Gray

I absolutely love the two toned paint over the pool. It still opens the space up top so you don’t feel so enclosed and doesn’t block out the beautiful sky. Also, girl those jeans are friggin cute on you (30 min mark-ish) . I only dream of finding jeans that cute! ❤

I love the way it looks at night. Need to find a really nice way to hang your towels up in the pool area. They have retractable clothes lines, but that's still not nice enough for what you've done in the pool area.

Turned out so pretty and fresh!! For towels u can buy a short.pole and make stands on end to flip towels on or you can buy retractable clothes line where you pull it out and hook it to a pole or fence then just unhook when not in use Hannah's Happy Home on RU-vid had a clothesline she pulls it out and in when not using it.

It looks beautiful. You and Bobby are such a great team. I so admire you for painting in nice clothes. I have to wear old paint clothes because no matter how neat i try to be, i get it everywhere.

The black really made it pop, it looks great! Good job. I have an “umbrella clothesline” near my pool, it doesn’t take up a lot of space & you cement the pole into the ground for stability, works great for all the wet towels. And, I use a hammock in one corner of the patio (attached to a corner to place all the pool accessories, works well & keeps them off the floor).

It’s amazing what paint can do for a space! It looks awesome! I bet you were exhausted! 😅

For your towels, have you considered a retractable clothes line? They’re always in the bathrooms on our cruise ships and it just seems so smart for a space like this too! 😊

I like the blue, it looks good. Try getting a folding clothes drying rack for the towels. that way you can move it around, too.

We bought an outdoor cabinet from Lowe’s to store all the pool toys it was the best thing to do, the grand kiddos know that before they can dry off at the end of their swim the toys go back in the cabinet. For the towels go to Hobby Lobby and get a black metal quilt stand it will match the backyard and holds several towels to dry, and when people come over I add extra cleans towels for their use in case they didn’t bring any and then hang to dry.

Another great makeover! Those night shots are gorgeous, not that the daytime ones don’t look inviting also. Thank you for sharing your love of the Saluspa. We’ve had our eye on eye but hadn’t had any reputable opinions we trusted until yours. I used to sew Daisy Kingdom dresses for my daughters. Before I would start them I would clean the house and batch cook easy meals for a few dinners and had snack plate foods ready for my kiddos lunches. I could then sew like a maniac for a few days with little interruptions. As far as the tablet goes, tell me the difference between that and watching cartoons or movies on DHS and later DVD for the kids raised in the 90’s & 00’s? The tablet mom shaming irritates me to no end. Mind ya business! 😂 I’m sure you’ve already tried cleaning your slider tracks but just in case here goes. When we moved into a rental in AZ our slider was really tough to open. We lifted out the functional door and cleaned out the bottom of the door mechanism. Ours were some plastic tracks that were covered in debris. We got them all cleaned out and smoothed a few places that the plastic had been knicked. We WD40d the tracks and cleaned the threshold and bing bong boom…no more drag! Our eldest daughter used to jump on ‘the tramp’ in her undies when we were stationed in Hawaii. Our neighbor used to say she knew she was almost home when she would see her jumping.

Hi, the pool area is beautiful. Drew from Lone Fox put black tape on windows and it looks great. You could try tape on your sliders to see if you wanted to make a permanent change. Thanks for a fabulous video.

It turned out beautifully as only you do so well!! Great job. As for the towels why not a stylized coat rack? I’m imagining like a plywood cut out of a palm tree 🌴 or 🌵 with hooks to hang them on? They only need to be up off the ground where the air can get to them. The added bonus is that would something else to stash pool toys behind.

Yep pool still chilly here and we are about 2 & 1/2 hrs south of you. However, if you suffer from inflammation that cold water soak is so so good for you.

I have metal sea creature hooks for our towels. It looks great, the kids love them.

Looks awesome Cambria. Great job. Have you thought about getting one of those covered deck boxes to store the pool toys in. They look nice, aren’t too expensive and would go with your furniture. I have seen them on Amazon for under $100. Just a suggestion.
