Do you ever use freestanding walls (single depth blocks) around a fire pit for seating? If so do you adjust anything for base prep? Thanks in advance and keep up the awesome work!

We use a 3/8 clean stone as the setting bed and a 3/4 clean stone for the base. The open graded stone has no fines in it so it doesn’t hold any moisture and is also much easier to achieve proper compaction. We switched to this style of base about 2 years ago and love it
