06:25 you are literally 50m away from the building I grew up in. Was crossing that bridge 9 years everyday going to school :) 09:09 on that place was one of the biggest if not the biggest Roman Temples in Roman empire. Those rocks would be what is left. In 1945 Zadar was ERASED with bombs, check it out it is amazing, the city was not existing. And that is how they discovered that the temple was there, before buildings were on it. Republic of Venice built Zadar, and they built it for themselves so before bombing it was very very beautiful city. If it was not smashed in WW2 it would be side by side with Dubrovnik by beauty.

Glad mom stopped crying, wishing all of you safe travels. Great video. What was the deal with the guy throwing the yellow sticky toy against the glass? Just thought that was hilarious. It would be great if it's the package delivery guy, here is your toy to prove I was here, try again tomorrow.

He had a whole collection of the - just stood there throwing them against the wall and they flip down, sorta like a slinky. He didnt seem to care about showing them to any potential buyers, then boom, some lady and a kid stopped and bought 3!

When in Croatia you should visit Vodice (1h south from Zadar) and Opatija :)

Pffff Nooooo :) Vodice :D :D :D Primosten is billion times more beautiful than Vodice and is 30 min away. And Opatija is boring place for Austrian grandmothers and grandfathers. When in Croatia, STICK TO THE ISLANDS :) Further away from the mainland the better it is. I recommend Hvar (South side) Vis, Lopud, Mljet, Lastovo, Dugi Otok, Silba, Mali Losinj, Cres.

Simple - you won't have any troubles! In Zadar we just parked 5 mins out of the main busy area in a residential spot and it was easy.

Not sure if you are aware about it, but this is how Zadar looked like 75 years ago. vojnapovijest.vecernji.hr/vojna-povijest/grad-feniks-kako-je-i-zasto-zadar-razoren-u-2-svjetskom-ratu-1061875 The old town was completely destroyed, 80% of buildings. The city only had 20,000 inhabitants. It was an Italian city, almost exclusively inhabited by the Italian settlers from south Italy. Almost like an island. In the early 1940s, it was a fascist colony and since 1943 a Nazi stronghold, occupied by the Germans. Therefore it was bombarded heavily.
