What's up guys! Sorry about yesterday's video...but HERE it is! We stayed out fishing late last evening in Stuart, FL and did not make it home early enough to properly get this video ready for publication. That almost NEVER happens, so sorry! We will have tomorrow's video up normally, no worries. We do post regularly on Twitter and Patreon.com when these things happen so if you'd like to keep up with us that is the best way in between videos. ANYWAY...this was the first time either of us have ever caught an octopus! I KNOW, should have eaten it! We were kinda surprised and just did not know the regs at the time. See you tomorrow!

I know people eat them, and that’s fine, but I just find them to be such fascinating creatures I would release it if I caught one. Buy the way, while I’m not sure, it looks like a common brown octopus.

Hilarious, GRAB HIM! Brian. WE CAUGHT A GIANT PACIFIC OCTOPUS on my dad's boat and he kept telling me to grab him. Hell No! We got him into live well and... Was worth alive to Marineland at the time $500. Scared the bejesus outta me.

That was FUNNY! Darcizzle has no problems with sharks, barracuda, crabs and all other toothy, pinchy things in the ocean, but a squishy octopus has her frightened.

Busy day on the water. You had a chance for a catch, clean, and cook with the octopus. Once you eat something there is no reason to fear it in the future.

Those things creep me out too, only because I've seen the beak from one. I just never knew if they will bite you or not. Just that they stick to you too. I know they're very intelligent as well. Great episode! You guys make everything look so easy, even though I know you've had your share of mishaps. But your getting better and better over time. It looks really natural, now. Not that it didn't before, but you look like your happy with what you're doing, and it shows.

Hey cheers to you and Capt. Brian! Just found your channel on a cloudy Vermont afternoon. Not safe to be ice fishing and Trout season here will not begin til April 13 this year. I don't know Florida law for catching octopus, but if it was legal I'd have made some calimari!! Loving your videos. Realy love your Not so deadliest catch Crabbing!!! Monster Killer sharks, barracuda, and other dangerous fish; a modern day moby dick. Can't handle a tiny octopus. That was hilarious watching her chirp and dance around like a little kid. Loved it.

Very cool... I like the cuda also, once caught a Moral eel as I was trolling for a cuda, all of a sudden the cuda took off in the lagoon at Boca Chita and out from the rock came a 6 ft green monster. Freaked me out. Very cool Octo story as well. Funny how sharks don't bother you but slimy Octopus does. LOL, my sister can scuba with the sharks but she wont snorkel because she is scared to be on the surface. lol Great episode!

Darci, if you ever have to lift an octopus in the future don't place your hands underneath it. They have a beak shaped like a parrots that can inflict a serious bite. It's pretty much the only hard part that an octopus has.

She snatches up sharks and cudas with ease. She practically chin scratches these stone crabs. She’s freaked OUT by the tiniest octopus. They are just about harmless, and good eating

they are sometimes called cuddle fish. Very intelligent they say. Harmless, for the most part, but stay away from the mouth area, they have a powerful beak in there.

jip octapus loves crab i fish of the rock alot and you can actualy see the octapus chase down the red crabs right next to you and sometimes its big ones like a meter long..... good bait an good eating ... beter than calamarie

Octopus are super tasty! When cooking, make sure to add a wine cork or two to the boiling water. The enzyme in the cork will tenderize it like nothing else. When catching, use a squirt of lemon juice to get them to come out of the trap, and an an ice bath to quickly euthanize them. You can make your own octopus traps using plastic corrugated drain pipe, with concrete on one end, and lash 2 or 3 together. The octopus uses the pipe as a shelter from predators, and will hopefully keep them from raiding the traps and eating your crabs. Stone Crab's biggest predator: The octopus. I love your channel I watch it all the time I grew up in Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood Florida me and my grandmother used to go fishing off the Dania pier and catch Grunts and Moon Fish and all kinds of stuff then we we go on own the crowded charter boats and I caught a red snapper and one the pool for like $100 for the biggest fish I still have relatives down there I would love to come visit my relatives and love to go fishing with you guys I just want to catch sharks I'm an avid diver and I retrieve Megalodon shark teeth I have a huge collection but never have caught a shark message me back how do I get in touch and go on one of your fishing trips thanks Richard

All my gear is packed so I'm buying new lures etc and I gotta tell ya this stuff is getting expensive. Can't buy lures for under $5 bucks unless it's one no one's ever heard of. $50 for 30lb braid on my new Penn reel. Blue camo. Spiderwire & min of 65lb leaders . I was gonna go with 100lb Test leaders but trying to keep the cost down

Tentacles can't hurt you but the beak underneath in the centre of the tentacles can. He would've had a beak the size of a budgie...

LMAO!! You went wuss, big time. Btw, octopus don't ink. That's a squid. Second, they can bite, however, thier mouth is like the beak of a bird & is located deep inside thier main biggest part of thier bodies. The testicles, or arms, are just for grabbing & moving things. The suction doesn't hurt. It's like when a cattipillar holds on to you.
