It's 2:30 a.m. and I'm watching Barry Can't sleep!

This is a wonderful video and Dimash is looking most beautifully in this one, the red colour and the gold on his face... It is wonderfully photographed. The colours and light are so warm and great. When you see Dimash acting in this video you can really imagine him in a movie. He shows a lot of emotions and caress without shyness. I think it`s a new quality in his acting. The dancers reminds me to the Pina Bausch dance theatre. And the content of the video: It`s not only a lovesong, but there`s happening a lot and it lets space for interpretation. My interpretation is, that "the swans" lived a real happy live in partnership, love also in the clouds untill a dark brutal force came to repress them like a meteoritefall it destroyed their lives. The people of swans got repressed and imprisoned, their wings get cut off, so there is no escape, no hope left. Only one swan (Dimash) tries to fight it and his falsetto gives the freedom und life back to the other swans, who were paralysed before. The swan Dimash and his partner tries to escape but can only fall from the cliff to death or to life? OR to life after death? It´s open, but in the very last scene it seems that they survived. So it`s a hopeful ending. I think there are a lot of parallels to the history of the kazakh people but can also be a metapor for the personal struggles in life everyone has to fight with. So fight for you love and for your life! And yes in the very first picture it was Dimash.

According to a German legend/tale humans are angels with one wing and need to embrace each other to be able to fly. The swans are symbols for this. As you know swans can’t live apart. All of Dimash’s MVs are of high quality and i love them all but probably the MV to Qairan Elim is my favorite one.
