Really enjoying your videos! I'm not quite planing or using a harness yet and finding your videos really interesting and informative. Hoping to get somewhere close to doing the same stuff as this. Keep up the good work.
Love to hear that! Yeah when I got started I didn't find many "regular Joes" learning to windsurf videos and thought, hell I will share mine. Glad you find it helpful. I learned Harness first, then front foot in front foot strap (at that point you are starting to plane) and then struggled on getting my backfoot in, and when you do, oh man that is the speed accelerator! Now I am trying to finish a jibe planing, try to hit 30mph, and improve on tacking. So much fun and so much to learn! Good luck on you windsurfing adventure!
@@gusthunter8780 Great stuff! I'll post a few clips on my own RU-vid channel as I go along. Been sailing all my life so I know where the wind is coming from - just can't get the hang of standing up sailing yet! Have a great summer.
@@chrisarnell1 I am subscribed to your channel and will tune to see how you are doing. By the your comments are off in setting of the video published to RU-vid, so you can't have a chat like this. (You may have purposefully done this, just thought I would mention it), Looks like you have a great location for sailing! Cheers!
Gust, do you have a Ezzy 91 % Carbon mast 430 or another? thinking of getting an Ezzy Cheetah 5.5....but wondering if paying for extra $ for a Ezzy Carborn mast or continue to use my GT 60% RDM mast.
Yeah I have the Ezzy 91% in 490,460,430, and 400 No complaints at all. If the your current mast is in good shape and the sail rigs good on it, I wouldn't bother. But once you "need" a new mast, I recommend the high% carbon ones and if the cost isn't a big deal for your situation... I have a 460 70% Chinook and I bet I can't tell the difference or at least not that I noticed when compared against the 91% Ezzy..... Just my 2 cents.
