HxH could definitely make it as a sports anime! Epic stretch of episodes 🔥 We’re up to episode 83 over on Patreon for anyone wanting to get ahead! www.patreon.com/carlie_and_ange
Hisoka is such a funny character to like because you can see ALL of his red flags and still can't hate him because he's got so much style. It's always so funny to try to explain why you like him without making the other party look at you weirdly. 😂 This is the same for the Phantom Troupe in that they're villains, but you can't hate them because they're so human in their thinking (in regards to their members), and they have mad style. This is also why the Bombers aren't likable; they've got zero style.
i dont understand why some people actually like the phantom troupe not until i found out how exactly they massacred the kurta clan. Besides the kurta they have probably done far worse attrocities
A thing to remember about this show; it's rarely ever about who's 'stronger' or 'weaker' - it's about the situation. Kurapika is by no means as strong as the majority of the Troupe, but he's set things up so he gains the advantage against them. Similarly, Hisoka's power is hardly the flashiest, or the most powerful, but he applies it so cleverly (with its properties of both rubber and gum) that he seems way stronger.
@@sadretard the dragon ball fan type will never understand the utility of a support-power, lol. if I could have any Nen Ability irl, Cookie-Chan would be my instant choice.
@@Gamesaucer Not in a direct fight sure, but if Bisky was helping Tsezguerra and his squad harass the Bombers she could definitely use massages to help everyone rest with less sleep. Then they could just wear them down until they're barely able to fight anymore.
hisoka absolutely steals the limelight everytime he's in the scene.. just a bloody joker who out of nowhere appears from the plot and provides a special element of pizzaz whatever he does
I really like the parallel between Gon saving the bounty hunter (scissor hands guy) at the start of Greed Island by treating him with respect and as a human, and Ging saving Razor here by treating him with respect and as a human.
Binolt don't want any reward when he return the wallet instead he got beaten badly...while in the battle with Gon, he has all the bad intentions, but he got thanks in the end...That prabably cures his trauma...
Just a heads up for you: Togashi has classified some nen users in categories ranging from "Great" through "Excellent", "Genius" and "Ultimate". On that ranking, Bisky ranks in the "Ultimate" category. What's noteworthy is that those categories don't measure innate potential but mastery of nen. One could also say how close their mastery of nen is to the absolute maximum that is possible for them. That is an incredible achievement here. There are barely any "Ultimate" masters. So yeah, Bisky is the real deal when it comes to nen mastery. As for how strong that makes her, we don't know, we can only really speculate. But her hatsu, Cookie-chan, despite sometimes being looked down upon as easter egg or comedic relief, is really impressive, even if it doesn't directly give her combat ability.
Bisky is actually an "ultimate" transmuter. And Genthru is a "Genius" conjurer. Another fun fact: Hanzo is also a genius. Among the Hunter exam passouts-: Hisoka, Illumi, Hanzo: Genius Kurapika: Excellent Gon, Killua: Great Leorio, Pokkle: None
@@FrostandFlame89 Manga or an artbook most likely, there's an absurd amount of info that is never revealed in the anime. Iirc Genthru and Kite in the little hunter information section were mostly in the same ballpark on pure stats, but Kite would likely still destroy him.
Really incredible of you guys to mention Gon doing something that is exciting Hisoka with a straight face. (Carlies Hisoka impressions "GON" still lives in my head rent free 😂😂)
Also pls can u guys watch ep1 of 1999 hxh its important to watch before next arc. you dont have to react to it just watch it. Edit- They watched and said IT WAS WAY BETTER in the older version compared to what this newer version showed🤓
I disagree, it's not essential. I watched the 2011 version first and never felt like I was missing anything by not seeing that first episode. In this version, we're discovering that character with Gon
It really isn’t important it does not have any true bearing on events what was needed they did in flash backs. If there was anything maybe the emotional connection of it between the characters
@@dbj7643 The director said they wanted Kite's introduction to be a more of a dramatic reveal rather than a reunion. Though he also later said he regretted that decision and wishes they'd introduced him in earlier. And when the 2011 anime was in production, the Chimera Ant arc wasn't actually finished yet, so they weren't sure Kite would even be relevant beyond episode 1, especially since the author was (and still is) known for taking long breaks from writing.
Just FYI that wasn't anywhere near Razors full strength. Razors nen is responsible for the activation of all the spell cards on greed Island. So at all times a large chunk of his nen is unavailable to him.
1: Kalluto is Killua’s little brother; we’ve met him twice. Just in case you forgot. 2: The dodgeball match in Spy x Family is basically an easter egg hunt for other animes, and there are several references to HxH.
When Gon goes all in, he goes *all* the way in. And Hisoka appreciates that and cares about Gon, in his own twisted way. You could call him a friendly rival, if he wasn't a psychopathic murderer
That's not how Hisoka thinks. He cares about Gon the same way he cares about others with great potential. He wants them to grow and live up to that potential, before killing them in a fight.
@@xXSamir44Xx You're not wrong, but there's more to it than that. If he only looked for potential, then he would also care about Killua, but we've seen how little he cares about Killua.
The moment with Razor wasn’t deeper in the manga or anything, and he was already amazing with Nen when Ging found him. It’s just another instance of the author showing you how incredibly exceptional Hunters (and Ging in particular) are, as people. You’re not meant to take much from it other than how someone like Ging can, on a whim, completely change somebody’s life-because that’s how “strong” he is. As if a force of nature with motives and desires far removed from those of normal people.
24:46 Like father Like Son... Remember what Zepile said about Gon, in the YorkNew City arc (Episode 48) I think that description would also apply to Ging...🤔
The way they combined to resist the spike was so amazing and I like how the whole situation unfolded. Thankfully Razor wasn't ready for Hisoka's bungee gum (which btw, has the properties of both rubber AND gum) :v
For how perceptive and intelligent Killua is its surprising he doesn't understand the value in Bisky's power. Her power is basically a senzu bean but better; recover from injuries, refresh exhaustion, not need sleep, slow the speed you age. The biggest barrier to physical training is injury and exhaustion and she's got a power that can ignore it.
What a great reaction to these 2 episodes this arc is actually so much fun right? I think Ging and Gon have in commun that instinct or open-mindedness... they're able to see when people have redeeming qualities (or not), we saw it with Razor Binolt Killua Zepile etc, and they give them a chance to prove that they're not lost to kindness or normal human connections and so those people naturally get attached to them and become their friends in a way or another but also find a new purpose in their lives... I think even irl not many people are able to trust and give second chances so people like them even if they can be criticized are actually rare and very much needed, even if it was just for the sake of damage control, less criminals in the world you know 😅 so yeah I really like that commun trait in both father and son Angelo was right Gon just needs guidance and basically a father figure or at least someone who'll teach him to control his emotions and think twice before he acts but he's still young and that much is understandable imo...and like you said due to his upbringing Killua is the total opposite, the perfect match to Gon's recklessness as a friend but ofc Gon still needed a dad right?...😌 I don't hate Ging at all (quite surprisingly maybe since I grew up without my dad) but yeah he's not even a 'bad' dad, he just never was one to begin with If Silva really planned or allowed Kalluto to join the Troupe it would quite f*** up LOL both dads are different but also kinda similar...I still think they're not the worst dads out there
Bisky can surely throw hands, but is not a combat specialist like her hatsu show. She basically can only fight like an enhancer even if she is not one.
And how did you find that out just by watching up to this point? Y'all are so weird trying to justify and explain everything that doesn't need to be addressed or theorised as of yet
"I don't think Biscuit is as strong as you think", No, she absolutely is. She's stronger than the Genthru team for sure, but she's also "how do you get better odds than that" I'm guessing the original plan was for Tsezzugerra to attack Genthru's teams while they're still weakened from fighting with Gon & Killua. He basically created a win win situation. Either G&K win and they give Tsezzugerra what is essentially the last missing card, or they lose but considering they would have had time to prepare a good plan, they're very likely to have weakened Genthru's team a loooot, making them easy picking for Tsezzugerra's team.
Whether or not Bisky can whoop the bombers herself isn't really the question. It's whether she can use them as a teaching experience for her students. :)
I know you guys have probably already started the next arc on Patreon but I was going to ask if Ange could try make another cover for the end, I know it takes Ange a while to learn it but the ED is just so good!! Thanks
I just realized that Razor still had the Ref on the sideline so he didnt use his full strength but lets say 80 possible 90% of it. Dude is a monster in his own right😂.
My opinion is HxH have a very nice characters design, especially the villains, even if we don’t like them bc they are a bad guy but their character is brilliant
Its actually really great .. that you guys really notice these subtle details about characters and world spread throughout HxH , cause those things really matter later on .. and most reactors dont pay attention to these stuff .
Bisky could have taken all three of down tbh but than the boys wouldn't have gained anything from it. Shes a teacher in every sense of the word, she wants to give them the opportunity to have their own experience. Also as i commented on an earlier video, she has a personal reason for not showing off her actual strength.
