1. Sand dollars, sand and small sea shells for a beach theme. 2. Electrical/electronic components (resistors, capacitors, transistors, IC chips, etc.) for a high tech kind of person. 3. Scalpel blades, suture needles, hemostats, inoculation needles, etc. for medical personnel. 4. Drill bits, screws, driver bits, etc. for woodworkers. 5. Other themes for plumbers, automotive techs and other tradesmen are possible. 6. Lay camouflaged cloth on a wet layer of epoxy (probably black or some other translucent bottom layer), then an arrow running almost the entire length. You will have to remove the flights and reapply them in a flat configuration, otherwise they may look funky or try to rise out of the epoxy. Before embedding items, clean them thoroughly, brighten all metals and coat them with some clear epoxy to prevent bubbles from sticking.

Am I silly to think she's using that speedsquare the wrong way? Assuming the bottom of the board is squared and one side of the board is straight (which it looks like it is), mark it once and let the speedsquare do it's magic, amirite?

Somebody put in fishing lures, I would add the line and connection tackle and favorite fishing knots in the clear layer and perhaps a small trout chasing the lure; with sand in the bottom layer. This would be for a thicker table top project. Another idea would involve using the nose of fish in the clear layer giving the impression that the entire fish is hiding under the cedar slab. You guys would make a fortune!
