Epic Fail as Big Trev Steals Rod | Caravan Biltong Making

My last day on the water in the Pilbara before we head south was met with an epic fail as I get double hookup on big trevs, managed a decent little feed while having a couple of beers but when a school of semi-large Trevs passed through my lures for a double hookup in a brain fart moment I re-positioned the other rod and didn't put it in the rod holder correctly and I also thought the fish had busted off...only to find out it was still on and decided to take my rod and reel into the deep blue with it! Total fail moment...had just put a new reel on it with new braid also!
Anyway we live and learn and the show must go on!
Ole Bucket 'O' Bill makes a return and put it to use for some good ole Biltong making. We've been so busy and I kept forgetting to put some together, but this video is an easy step-by-step process on how to make it in a caravan with a 12v power supply and a 20L bucket!

Oh no 🤦🏽‍♀️ I can’t believe THAT rod and reel went into the drink! Better hone up your rod building skills again and build a remake! I can imagine the air con was the best in that heat! Love what you do, keep it up xxx

I know I shouldn't laugh 😂BUT ,, I watched and rewatched the rod flicking out of its holder a few times ....laughing out a loud every time...😂😂😂 Great episode Jed & Kel,,,,had a bit of everything..inc pink ribbon 🎀 Feel very blessed to have met you both albeit virtually via tube talk ...two wonderful humans

Glad you enjoyed the care package Jed . The snakes were the freshest ones that I could find. I hope that the burley bucket finds a great home to a deserving home . Hang onto the gar rig mate and I'll look forward to giving you guys the good oil on how to use them in Feb next year .. fingers crossed . The biltong looks mint .. happy travels guys.

Ha yeah he's a good ole trusty bucket! The Trev definitely didn't taste like victory anyway haha! But at least I didn't loose them both 🤦. New rod is nearly finished and hopefully giver a go in a week or so 👍👍🐟🤺. I'll try not to loose this one! Cheers mate and have a good week!!

ha mate bugger about the rod, means a new flash one to build 👍 jerky looked tasty, i make me own as well i use a dehydrator takes 9 hour a batch and i yes a dry pre mix from Master Butchers in Perth taste great easy to do same you did but dry mix 👍👍 great channel mate

no mate i havn’t tried that yet 🤔 next time ya get a flag fillet bite size pieces- jar - pickle spice - vinegar- sliced onion- put all in jar - the mix will cook and season the fish ready in about 2 hours 👍 Old Malcom Douglas tip

Hey there Mr Dave! Oh would be nice n warm up in Darwin! Holidays? Free reels would be epic haha as I can't seem to be able to make these....yet 😅. Unfortunately I'm allergic to many things and garlic is one of em...love it but can't use it 😬🙅‍♂️ Our roof is almost covered in solar panels plus am going to replace soon with better/lighter models to reduce a bit more weight 👍👍. Have fun in Darwin mate!
