Rohan just started watching you last week resulting from a search and we are so impressed by your honest presentation with all your fails and other little problems The bug problems could be mitigated maybe with some screen walls around the awning, just a thought. Good luck with the move to the north and agreed with your thoughts re Perth and covid policy. Keep up the interesting videos.
Thanks Kevin! The camp lights I have are actually amber and or white lights, and when used on the amber setting, the bugs tend stay away, but due to filming at night, I needed the bright white lights for the footage to look good 😄 Cheers for the well wishes mate!
Welcome to the Pilbara, theres so much to see and do, so much to explore. Absolutely no regrets here on leaving Perth. Good to see you dont disclose your exact locations, leaves the places for others to fond for themselves. I have seen so many “secret” spots absolutely destroyed and lost to the masses. Tread lightly ya’ll and respect the bush. Hopefully see ya around the tracks up here Josh ✌🏻

Don't be disheartened by my words about Perth, it is a great city for the most part, but I was born and raised in the country, where our values are a little different and life is a little easier. I miss all of that, which is why I am moving. If you are from a large population city already, being Cologne in Germany, then I don't think you'll have any problems with Perth, in fact I think you'll love it and you should certainly still come here one day and see for yourself 🤠
Try shoveling the rocks into a Woolworths bag and then attaching the guy ropes to the handle. You can even bury the bag for extra strength. I have the same awning and it works a treat. I actually made my own heavy duty bags for those rocky camps. Great videos by the way.

Good choice! Ktown is sooo much better than Hedland! We lived in Karratha for 5 years from. 2010 til 2015 and wish we could go back. I was hitting the tracks every weekend and wish I could come up and show you all the hidden gorges and abandoned open cut mines. The place is so beautiful and a great place to put down roots. We would have stayed if house prices were not over 1mil at the time. Got a lot of friends still up their. Plus there is a HJ's now! We used to fly it up and could get $50 a burger! The adventure store is a rip off but may be better now. Get a place in Dampier if you can, alot nicer place to base yourself. There is a tree on the way out to Harding Dam that I carved my kids names into and that was like 8 years ago. People were adding names to it when I left, would be interesting to see now as it was a campsite tucked away from the main track on a secluded riverbank. Get a Rio tinto access pass and you can go explore out past Harding Dam there is a massive mountain with a track cut into it. You can see the iron ore ships from the top and the water is over 20ks away! Bloody love that place.

always tie down awnings. i surely have learnt my lesson, ie awning smashed drivers window. 5-sec rule still applies, eat the pizza. you need orange lights and ya need to stay away from the green brownies. haha

Whenever food ends up on the floor etc, etc, etc just pick it up and say…The Devil licked it and God blessed it and now l’m going to eat it. With your lights setup, keep the insects away, I would either use and amber led light if you can add one in, or the other way is to buy red heat proof cellophane and wrap the lamps you want to use and only have those on and it worked for me and kept most of the bugs away.

Cracker spot mate! Lost it with the cricket going a 100km/hr and knocking you off your chair haha. Try getting some yellow cellophane to put over your lights and the bugs won't be as attracted to them!

@@BurrupAndAway dude crocs have been seen as far south as Exmouth. And they are semi common in port headland. Be Carefull. Also the tiger sharks are Thick, and the Tides Huge. Good luck mate

Well 'll B . Hey son, Loved The Dust Dirt and Dogs. Lived there in 70's- on off Arseole of the earth 'we called her. New a lot of yhem, good excellent and uglies. Man, was some beautiful people and a bloody Red dog up there them. All Red Dog wanted to do was travel, like a human bean. He got on off busses, trucks , ma ute, and anyway. Then is changed to now. Old bloke now that's about run his course in Southern Victoria, 2 year bad rabbit this time, ohh is a hard, rain. Might head up Dampier's way to to see out my few , show us how to fish one day and I'll tell ya some tails. like when I STAYED IN golden Triangle and didn't get back to North West. Mick Laverda.
