After a dismal trip to a no prep event at Orlando, the unthinkable became my mission.
I found myself DRIVING my original paint, low mileage ‘79 Chevy Malibu 950 miles ONE WAY from Orlando back to Columbus Ohio.
Although the car retains power steering, brakes, and Air Conditioning, it’s still a mid 10 second 1/4 mile car naturally aspirated and a low 9 second capable car on Nitrous.
At 13:1 compression, with a .600” roller camshaft, the 421ci Carbureted Small Block Chevy is THIRSTY especially on e85!
So what would make me consider doing this? There’s definitely a reason, and it’s NOT GOOD!
Sit back and enjoy watching Tess, Tanner, and myself go on an epic journey of mishaps and sheer comedy all the way from Ohio to Florida and back.
This is one you won’t want to miss!

I've got a clapped out 305 in a 81 C10 and I would absolutely love to see what he could do to it. Even just tuning it right I'd bet would be a world of difference. Bill is almost a small block whisperer he is so good.

I'm excited to see that footage! Driving my '71 Dart from Indianapolis to Los Angeles is definitely a high point that I'll never forget. Knowing I built that car and motor in my garage with hand tools and it made it successfully with zero hiccups is such a great feeling.

That is the one of the best things to see after you wake up in the morning before work and see the old man posted a new video. Tess is a goof always in a good mood and smiling and up for any road trip I had no doubt that the Malibu wouldnt have any problems making the trip at all just shows how good uncle bob is on putting engines together and how the old man can get the carbs tuned in

I always knew Tess was pretty, but while listening to you tell the story about driving your car back from Florida. I could not keep from noticing her eyes as she looked into the camera that she is not just pretty, she is T-totally Stunningly Gorges. Tess and Tony are so cool. I've been watching them since before they had their own utube channel when Tess was building the maverick that she wrecked. They put up with a lot of bs comments from idiots but seem to take it in stride. Recently one dip shit did get Tess fired up though,so don't be fooled, Tess won't put up with you messing with her loved ones. In real life I'd be friends with them both.
