Yacin, you are reading my mind because I thought in watching some sound design tutorials today! Thanks for the great content as always, cheers from Brazil
Yalcin, you really killed it with this video!! The EDM Chords already sounded great but then came this Bodzin Signature "Legato Bass" which left me speechless! I've been looking for a VST which can "emulate" the SUB 37 (and couldn't find one) but now you tell us that this kind of sound can be recreated in Serum?!?! 🤨😜🤯 This really tells me that I don't need any further Plug-Ins. I should just learn how to use them and squeeze the maximum out of them! Thanks for sharing so much knowledge with us!! 🤩🤩🤩
Your Chanel really have high quality information, I doing music for more than 10 years, and I watching RU-vid now, before I think all musicals when start can only dreaming have this kind of tutorials, we find out all by hard self works.. and now you just open up all. Great job 👏🏻
Just found this channel a couple of days ago and I'm binge watching your videos. :) Although I am quite advanced in sound design and making my own presets and sounds from scratch, I love your style of thinking the process and explaining what you are doing and why. GREAT JOB !!!
The way you explained was so amazing man, great video! I recently bought the Ace serum presets packs a few days ago and they are already great too but your video helped me shape the sounds to fit better with my production. Sometimes its the little things that matter and knowing the way the sounds are made is really good to know so you can make it work with all the drums and bass and it blends so well now, so thanks again! Great video :) :)
Really great informative video, I learnt loads of great tips for my own patches. Loved reverse engineering your diva and pigments preset packs and learnt loads from them too. Cheers👍
Wow. Seeing you make this so fast is a bit overwhelming not gonna lie haha. Thank you for this video because i prefer to create sounds from zero than having presets i dont know how they work. You are the best!!
Another helpful video. Thanks. The techniques are really useful for other synths too. It's great because you don't use resampling, which helps to make the techniques more generally applicable. 👍
Really awesome video man!! Loved all the sounds and are all so usable, loved the legato bass and dub stabs. I don't have Serum but I'm going to make them all in Massive and Wavetable, Cheers!
This is Amazing, thank you so much. If I want to recreate these sounds using ableton instruments, would you recommend anything specific to start with? I would like to work on sound design with ableton instruments first before I invest into plugins.
kinda depends on the specific sound you wanna achieve. abletons analog is good for the sounds he did that use the init patch waveform, as it is a basic sawtooth one. For the more complex ones use Abletons Wavetable synth. The modulation matrix is very easy to get and you can make alot of nice sounds with it. When it comes to the FX it is kinda the same, meaning it depends on the situation. For the Dub'ish sound for sure use Abletons Echo as it is a pretty solid tape delay emulation. When it comes to reverb you don't really have another choice than the one stock reverb Ableton provides. It is well rounded as in, it can be used in alot of cases but it is not the best sounding reverb there is for sure.. Like with most stock plugins it is more ment to handle as many different situations as possible to satisfy the broad audience that might use it. Same goes with the Stock distortion plugin of ableton. Before I got myself a 3rd party distortion plugin I was leaning more towards Abletons pedal. It is quite solid and simple as it kinda should emulate a guitar distortion pedal and created quite nice results. The modulation capabilities are not great but for something like standard distortion it is enough. If you want to go more mellow when it comes to generally distorted sounds go with Abletons Saturator. This one is actually pretty good IMHO for a stock plugin and creates warm and soft saturation FX. On another note you don't have to stick to stock plugins. There are alot of pretty nice free VSTs out there (search on youtube and google for it, you will find plenty). Honorable mentions are Vallhalla Supermassive (really lush reverb that can get seriously crazy), Waves H-Comp (Compressor.. not sure if it is still free but it was a few months ago i think for limited time) and other utility things like Span (really powerfull spectrum analyzer). Have fun creating my dude.
@@am.1093 No worries pal. If you have any more questions hit me up. Even though it's kinda self promotion right now but I do streams on twitch where I explain alot of what I do production wise and always have time for people who have questions to show stuff live (Q&A style). There is also a discord with likeminded people, some producers, some sound intusiasts.I don't wanna spam you with links so if you are interested, like I said, just hit me up. Have a great day mate
