Big swell in the Northsea made for some pretty good days at the most famous surfspot in The Netherlands, Scheveningen.
This was filmed on the beginning and the peak of the 7m swell by Danny Westland from 🎥 @insideoutvideos: Filmed and edited by Danny Westland.

Hey guys, I was wondering if it's worth it going to Scheveningen on the weekends from Germany, Aachen, in the summer. Are the waves big enough? Where can I see the status of the waves? (apps, etc.). Thanks for your support :)

Definitely worth it if you want some waves. Most consistent spot in Holland, but the island could also be an adventure. Surfweer.nl and windguru.cz have some of the best forecasts for Scheveningen.

Hey I am a student living in Leiden. I have tried surfing in katwijk rather unsuccessful. Do you think Scheveningen is more consistent with the waves and generaly a better spot? Also do you have any tips for me regarding surfing in the Netherlands? Nice videos BTW!

I would say that the most consistent spots are between scheveningen and hoek van holland. there is ter heijde in the middle of them. but in the netherlands you really should watch the forecast, because sometimes it suckes and sometimes it's nice

I'm moving to Europe from Byron Bay, Australia next year and was hoping to find some decent surf spots. I know I would get anywhere near the quality of waves we have here but wow, this looks pretty miserable. It was literally like this today in Byron and no one was out 😂

This is one of the worst countries in europe for waves haha. Check out hossegor france or peniche portugal. That are some highlights from europe.

@@surfcoach Yep. In Portugal there are the best waves to catch. Used to be in Peniche till Saturday :) (Check Nazare - damn these waves...) Also - you can go to France and of course, northern spain. Netherlands is just a good place to go, if you e.g live in Germany like i do and you have no time to drive to the coast of france...(Takes about 4hours to drive from Frankfurt, Germany to the coast of netherlands)

Lol "europe" is not a country man, it's a fecking huge and diverse place. Saying surf in Europe must suck because Holland sucks, is like saying Bali must suck because Cambodia has no waves

@@Steve-yo8uh Then why do you base your assumptions about Europe's waves on one (1) spot on the coast? The EU has 68.000 kilometres of coastline. Reread your comment, you're saying you're afraid you won't find waves anywhere based off a video of one spot in an area of 68.000 kilometres. I hope I don't need to further explain how ignorant this makes you look.

The 7 meter swell definitely didn't arrive as 7 meter waves. Mostly due to the loss of power because of the shallow bottom of the Northsea. Great waves for Dutch standards anyway 😊
