One time for those who are here commenting on Jade's WWE theme. First off, this theme right here is not the same. Her Royal Rumble debut is on WWE's RU-vid channel, you can hear the themes are similar but it's not this one. This theme was composed by Mikey Rukus specifically for AEW. It's therefore AEW's intellectual property, same as nearly all themes that are played for WWE. The reason Cody Rhodes kept his theme song is because "Kingdom" is a song that was made by the band Downstait specifically for Cody in 2016. I'm not sure if Cody owns the rights or if the band does, but basically when you use music that you didn't compose yourself, you have to license it. CM Punk was able to use Cult of personality in AEW and WWE because, again, the song was licensed from the band (Living Colour). Adam Copeland can use Metalingus because he is friends with Alter Bridge (the band who made the song) and so AEW could license it from them, same as WWE did for years. Whenever you hear a specific song in a commercial, a movie or a TV show, the rights holder licensed it to the production for use. They had to pay for the right to use it. That's why Never Going To Stop is dubbed over on the WWE Network, WWE would have to pay to license the song again since the original contract has expired and didn't include the Network (as it didn't exist). The intro "A storm is coming" is not copyrighted. AEW owns the recording that they used, so WWE had Jade do it over which is 100% legal given that the phrase isn't trademarked. Same reason Adam Copeland got Beth Phoenix to record his "You think you know him" intro for AEW, the "You think you know me" recording he used in WWE belongs to WWE. It's called a master recording. So in summary, no Jade can't use this theme in WWE. They seemed to have made a heavily inspired version but it's a WWE original so it's legally allowed. "Epic" belong to AEW and Mikey Rukus, WWE could not use it without paying a fee to AEW, which would have never happened. My guess is that the rights to Kingdom, Metalingus and Cult of personality were very affordable to license given the wrestlers in questions all have personal relationships with the bands so they make it easier for them to use it.
