defiantly have seen projection mapping before, this shit is so cool this vid is a nice example they are starting to do this at a bunch of high end festivals too ! lol perfect place for it as well ! would love to learn it but :P might cost a pretty penny to get the equipment

I would envision this installed in some infant's bedroom /playroom. I could only imagine the wonder the kid's tiny little developing brain would be experiencing. Set it up for multiple varying routines, possibly some with music.

What are those things and where can I get them? Are they homemade? I've never seen a setup quite like that before. I've been looking to implement something similar for my home theater system.

@djscottdog1 my guess is that the structure is made of lcd/led screens/panels. or that he has mapped it out on a computer and just simply threw a projector or two to display it

PROJECTION MAPPING - VERY NICE

Amon Tobin did the same thing (or something similar) for his ISAM tour. That being said, this is still really awesome.

Are the boxes being projected (ie a visual effect) or are the boxes actually there and the light show is designed to compliment the shapes of the boxes?

its a process called projection mapping. Using a computer to contort and projected image onto a non-flat surface. Lots of possibilities (obviously)
