I love how the chaos of the lights mimics the cracking of lightning. It's thematically appropriate but also, in a theatre, it would make focusing your eyes on the stage difficult which is a great way to relay the panick going through the character's brains in this scene. If I would change anything, I would put Zeus on a floating balcony, perhaps being attended to by a few scantily clad women. I don't think this Zeus would ever lower himself to a mortal's level and it would be a cute reference to the deus ex machina.
