I was at the Los Angeles Zoo, and just before dusk, the Alpha lion let out a roar. The WHOLE zoo just went absolutely quiet. Not a sound from any of the other animals. Absolute respect for the KING of the Jungle. Blew my mind!
He kinda looks towards the crowd as they applaud, like “Damm right you clap pink monkeys.” Before sitting down and thinking to himself “Oh yea, who’s the king, that’s right, Me!”
A lion actually don't think about food the whole time. A lion is big kitty with very high expectations. And they are not a human enemies . They can build friendships to humen.
The Bible says Jesus is the Lion and the Lamb . People tend to forget the Lion part. Seeing this fantastic display of nature really brings it home. Thank you LCD!✝
I was 4 years old at the San Francisco Zoo, in the big cat house during lunch. A tiger roared about 30 inches away from my face, then proceeded to bite into a steak that was roughly the same size as I was. My mom was worried because I was shaking, but I was so excited and awestruck, and had faith in that thick panel between us. Gives me goosebumps just recalling it. Big cats are amazing!
@@shauryagoel4326 Still an idiot who thinks just because different people make similar jokes, they're copied. The world's population has reached over 7 billion. If you actually laughed intead of "lol" you'd have that capability.
@@shauryagoel4326 There are atleast ten Lion: ... People:... Joke in the first 50 comments that were added after my comment. Are they all my copies according to you?
When lucky enough to experience this in person, I know that roar is not only heard and appreciated for how awesome it is but also is felt physically throughout the body. It actually vibrates within you, amazing!
Yeah like in Madagascar with Alex. 😁 if he's lucky he won't get crushed by his pride while they wonder why he receives so much respect still. Poor sod.
Majestic Lion: "I shall now demonstrate the sounds that will make humans and animals pee themselves a little if they hear it in the wild, especially at dark..ahemmm...(Deep breath, and .....")
If you knew anything about Lincoln Park zoo, you would know they have one of the largeat conservation programs of any AZA zoo in America. They do more to save wildlife in a month than you ever could.
@@webiplus What about freedom? They don’t have freedom in the wild, either. They’re poached constantly. In captivity, there is at least a chance that they can survive long enough to grow their populations long enough to be released into a world where they are truly free. That’s the whole mission statement of AZA zoos and aquariums. Protection of endangered wildlife. That’s the whole point. If
@@michaelsimpson4268I get what you are saying. It is heartbreaking that this majestic "King of the Jungle", and beautiful animal is in a confined space. I was commenting on it from a strictly Spiritual response. Jesus/Yeshuah is The Lion of The Tribe of Judah

I accompanied my parents to some company dinner years ago where they held it at a zoo. It was pretty awesome hearing the lion roar especially when everything was dark as they drove us to the dinner local and you couldn’t see them.
To anyone who has never heard one roar in person. You cannot underestimate the power of their voice. It does not convey at all through video. The volume and reverb vibrates in your bones. Absolutely chilling.
i could tell from this video and seeing them roar around Kevin Richardson his reaction Ive never experienced it in person but Id like to The force he is putting into this roar I bet its unbelievable ..
I’m the type of person that is not naturally scared of wildlife. I have to ‘logically’ tell myself that getting close to a bear or any wild animal is dangerous. For some reason I don’t feel the fear that should be built in to me for survival. Having said that.. I stayed at a tented camp in Kenya. The thought of wildlife being around me was my dream come true. Then at night, we hear a lion roar. It had to be in the distance because the tents were surrounded by an electric fence. So logically I knew I was safe, but the vibration that was sent through my body was the scariest thing I have ever felt. I was both afraid and extremely happy to know that some of my instincts had survived and were alive and well. It’s completely fascinating how they must have been passed down to me from distant ancestors who would had encounters with lions.
You have to wonder what it would be like to be held captive and have food stare at you all day. I think we would all have a good shout like that occasionally.
@phil4893 Actually, because he’s the male, he’s very accustomed to having the females do the hunting and bring him his dinner…BEFORE they even get to fix themselves a plate! So he be like, “Ladies, get a move on!” 😂
I see the clapping as the absolute saddest damn moment. He's up there giving his best threat roars that in the wild would turn any creatures blood to ice and prompt them to run like hell, but for this poor beast, all he gets is claps and laughs and everyone asks "when is the next show?" Heartbreaking.
We can't able to live in lock down for just 3 months but think about them.. for entire life they live in cages.. how hard it is.. so sad.. *Humans are very selfish and cruel* 😠😠

@@truthspeaker5050 Animals born in captivity, especially lions, *can't* be released. It's crueler to put them in the wild, because then they would starve to death or be killed by actual wild lions.
@ Me.Trox that's the worst thing we humans did to them. they are wild animals they must live in jungle freely but we didn't allow it. Tha why I said, from now we allow wild animals to live as their own. Except animals which born in cages before.
Lion: *continuously roars* Hoomans: *started clapping* Lion: Yes, that's it, praise your king more. (Edit) thank you for all the likes! I'm just gonna comment on the people who replied to my comment. First of all, if Jesus or Lord is your king, it's your own opinion bcs i just commented this comment for fun and I also respect your opinion, so please don't disregard my opinion as well. And second, I don't mean to offend any animal lovers here about my term of the lion as a "king" but again, this is just a comment for fun, and its not intended to be serious or anything. Above all, this is my own comment so I hope you take that into consideration when replying to me, when you could have just ignored it when you don't like what you saw in my statement. Always have a good day everyone 😊
A Brookfield Zoo employee once told me that's exactly what's happening! The first thing when they wake up and the last thing they do before they go to sleep is to profess they are king!
I live less than a mile away and it sounds like he is in the yard. This video does not convey how loud it really sounds. A lions roar can be heard for 13 miles. Not gonna lie, it scared the crap out of me the first time I heard him roar. Every night at sunset, like clockwork.
Thank you for telling your experience. I never thought about neighbors of the zoo! Do you enjoy the sound every night or are you tired of it? I ask because I have a rooster that I feel both ways about when he crows. And he crows throughout the day! Also, does the lion repeat the same pattern of "roars" every night? Thanks again!
Why? Have you never watched any anthropomorphic animal movies? 🤣 There’s nothing wrong with humanizing animals, it probably would be counted as one of the most popular things in the world.
This is the why people named him as a king , this is absolutely amazing. His attitude determines what he truly is ! If we just compare him with other animals ,there are many great animals from all the perspective but just because of his attitude he is named as #THE_KING , THE_MAJESTIC.
Hes claiming that hes the leader of all of you, and upon seeing the claps, he acknowledges that you guys accepted him as leader thus he sits down with comfort. Bro, he owns y'all now
