You are 100% on that. Those were my good church jeans! LOL I guess the relics gods graced me for dressing up to find that SC button!! Thx for the great comment!
Jim--got to love that sandy soil of SC. Most everything comes out so nice. Some of the field finds get a little fertilizer damage but stuff out of the woods is almost always in great shape! Thanks for the visit and the comment!
Thanks VT-L, Appreciate your consistent views and comments!! I really enjoyed that hunt. Got a lot of old silver on this trip!! Just walking some of those sites is worth the trip!!
Thanks DD. Granted we spent 6 days digging down there but I am very happy with the goodies that popped out. Appreciate you dropping in a posting a comment.
Hey Benjamin. I had not been out much prior to this hunt so I was having a blast and just having a good time with a couple of friend! The finds are always a great bonus and a wide variety of goodies made it a great trip! Thanks for the view and the nice comment.
Thanks BIG Dave! Appreciate you stopping for a quick view and appreciate the comment. But this is actually one of my longest videos to date!! So thanks for sticking it out!! 😁
Awesome hunt my friend, you killed it on finding the old silvers plus all the buttons ,your videos are the tops my friend, keep putting them out and I'll keep watching. God Bless Ron.
Hey Terry-appreciate you watching this long video! Was too much in there to break apart. Wanted to keep it all together as it was a fun and productive week. Thanks for always stopping by always posting up a comment. Views are cool but I enjoy the comments!

Wow what a great road trip that was. Just came across your channel last week and have throughly enjoyed it. Wish I detected when I lived in Virginia. Wisconsin just doesn't give up the relics like that.
Welcome and thanks for stopping in and thanks for posting a comment. Go big 10. Hahaha. If you watch enough videos you will discover my alma mater. Don’t worry. You alway beat us! Enjoy!!

No I have to work. Trying to go out Monday after work then this Tuesday and Wednesday. Love your videos and all the stuff you find. Here's hoping there's a break between the rain so you can get out and swing for a bit. Take Care Ron
Welcome aboard! Appreciate you stopping by. Every now and then we find a few goodies! Nothing too fancy on this little channel but I enjoy the hobby so I share what i can and if y'all enjoy it then that is a great bonus!! Merry Christmas!!
Great finds Ron, I actually just moved from Cali out to the Carolina's. So I'm excited to get out and dig some history. Keep up the beep, good luck and happy hunting
Congrats on escaping CA !!😁 Plenty of history on the East Coast so I wish you the best in your adventures!! Appreciate you dropping by and posting up a comment Now go Get Some!!
What an awesome hunt, I was digging down there the day he was found guilty. Passed by the courthouse that evening and it looked like a block party was going on with all the news crews. Fantastic video!
Hey Jake That 3 center and the 1753 were found literally minutes before the verdict. After finding the 1753 the owner called me in for another beer and I watched the verdict live with him and his buddies in the "garage" on the plantation. Was crazy as they all knew him personally. That experience with the owner and his buddies was very cool. Then a few more beers and eventually I sat in the main plantation house with them all for dinner! Made my trip! Appreciate the view and the comment.
You should! That was a great trip. I went this year and have not had the chance to put a video together yet. We found some great stuff but not quite the quality as last year. thanks for stopping by and thank you for the comment.
Hey Jared! I'm glad you came across my little channel. Nothing too crazy but I try to have fun and just show some decent digs! I enjoy the RU-vid side simply for pleasure! I'm not getting rich that's for sure!! But that was never my intention by posting videos! If people like em then that is cool, if they don't there are plenty of other diggers in the RU-vid Universe to watch! Appreciate you dropping in and appreciate the comments!!
Hey Gary-- loaded is relative. This place was once REALLY loaded but we continue to pull goodies out!! Thanks for dropping in and posting up a comment.
Man you killed it. I really like the old silver alot especially the french 2 one lol... i been wanting take a trip like that to dig. Maybe one day maybe one day
Thanks Dewey! I was sure that was French but wrong again!! Then the French one I called British!! What do I know!! LOL Thanks for dropping by and posting up a comment!
RON, I do metal detecting some now and then. I have an old Garrett 250. It doesn’t have the number screen to help identify the hit. Could you tell me what detector you use? I love your video and just subscribed. Thanks.
Hey Gary. Thanks for stopping by and hitting the sub button. I currently use the XP Deus 2. A bit on the upper end but a great machine. The 250 will find a few goodies for you it will struggle to get much past 4-5 inches. The 150-250 are entry level machine. A great machine to determine if you are hooked. Once hooked on the on the hobby I would suggest an upgrade If you want to stick with Garrett then maybe an AT Pro or AT Max. The Simplex is a decent machine for the price point. The new Minelab Xterra keeps you around a few hundred bucks. Or go all in and get a Deus or Deus 2 Good luck and thanks again!!
If your making like an annual trip down there then you should check out beaufort it has rich history of even pirates i hunted it a couple times didnt find alot but never really had time except for a couple two hour hunts
Hey Wayne! Thanks for the view and comment!! I have been fortunate to venture down there annually for the last 15 years or so. I have hunted all over in the low country and have been in Beaufort more than a few times! Love that area with such a great history! Permission are the tough part but explore it more if you get the chance. Thanks for the suggestion!!
Lifetime local from James Island. What was the age of the small buckle found right before 11.37 of your video and at 16.37? They look Identical and Identical to one I found at a colonial home site.
Hey George, I appreciate you stopping by and for the comment and question. Didn't mean to delay the response to your question but wanted to double check a reference book. I cant say with 100% certainty, but I believe these to be pretty accurate to the date of the plantation we are on and would put these buckles in the late 1750's -Early 1800's. hard to say when they were lost but like coins these items can hang around for a long time before being lost. Thanks again for the view and comment.
I just picked up my first metal detector and live in the charleston area. I have trouble finding spots or knowing where to go. Do you have any spots/areas that you recommend i try?
Thank you for stopping by and thank you for the view and the comment. You live in a hotbed of activity. Anywhere around that you can get permission is going to be good. Just speak with friends and family and see if you can get permission and then begin to net work, and wherever you can get permission is a good spot.
Thanks for stopping by. Maybe my channel isn't for you. I find em and I can do whatever I want. Coin has been in the ground for 150-200 years, been plowed over, fertilized etc so i don't think I am hurting them. Since i have no intention of selling them I am not too concerned, so no reason for your concern. But thanks!
I do what I like--if you don't like it, there are a thousand other metal detecting videos you can go troll. Thanks for stopping by. At least you saw some good finds!! 😁
@RonSwensonRelicAdventures This person isn't trolling. He/she was just making a suggestion. Your complete rude response to this person has inspired me to not subscribe to your channel nor continue watch this video, nor any of your others. You seem offended by constructive ideas from other people. What an a**hole.
Hey Eric--ended up in Mechanicsville VA and was a great move for us!! CA has some very cool things but the bad overpowered the good in the last few years!! We are happy with our choice! Moved my retirement options up about 10 years!! Thanks for stopping by and good luck with your decision. When you buy in SC, just make sure you have a guest room for me to stay in for a couple weeks a year as we go out and find early goodies!! 😁
@@RonSwensonRelicAdventures hahaha awesome thanks Ron! My wife and I can't wait to make the move out east. We're thinking either Savannah or Charleston. Both options have a bunch of Civil War activity, which is exactly what I was hoping for! My wife's nervous she'll never see me because ill be out digging all the time lol
