I hope you like this build of moxon vise, it works awesome and it fits to my workshop nicely. Me and my Bro made it from Oak and Walnut. Threads are made from beech wood.

Beautiful job. You are fortunate the piece in the voice didn’t fly up when you went to plane it. When that happened to me I ended up with a gash on my forehead that bled like a stuck pig. Your new vice should help eliminate that problem!

My heart skipped a beat near the end as he was testing the vise and he planed a piece of lumber that moved. Thought it would drop and the planer would shave a piece of the new vise xD AWESOME VISE THOUGHT!

Yeah, it is both good and bad. Good because it is transparent when dried and oil can pass through it, bad because it dries fast haha 😂 but yeah, organization is key when using hide glue

I work in a high school and hear the phrase "that's epic" more times a day than I should. Next time a kid says that I'm going to make them watch this video and tell them this is actually worthy of the phrase. That's a beautiful vise and a well edited video. Nice job!

I know a bit off topic from the video, but where do you get such fantastic equipment? Most of mine is decent enough and passed down from great grandfather and found its way to me and my cousin, but I've been wanting to upgrade but I don't know where to look for a decent price for high-ish quality

Ahh there is no (rare) decent price high quality tools, I pay even more because of customs and taxes and crazy American shipping sometimes 😂 but I would rather buy that expensive hand-tools over cheap ones. Have you seen an anime/manga called the rising of the shield hero? I'm personally hoping to make a foam version of the shield, do you think you can make a wooden one? After messing around with the measurements I found that it follows real world shield making principles. It's just a thought, but if anyone could pull it it'd be someone with actual practice than a noobie like me.
