John Voskresensky decides to come up with an entire stage production to ask his date to Mounds View High School's 2012 prom after the school production of West Side Story.
Haha this was after the high school production of West Side Story. We just used the set 20 min after the last show. :) Thanks for liking it, no rehearsal :P
The guy that asked me did something similar. I was playing flute in the pit and he was on stage. On the last night of the show during the bows he came out with a sign and roses. He did really good :)
This was TRULY amazing! Moulin Rouge is one of my favs. I can't believe this was a high school production. You guys seem so mature! When I was in high school in the mid-90s (shhh...I'm old!) this was basically how asking someone to the prom went down... Girl: "So, do you want to go to the prom with me or whatever." Guy: "Sure, I guess." Well, you guys ROCK. Hope you have a wonderful time at the prom! And perhaps keep the Moulin Rouge theme going...dance to 'Your Song!'
It's not 'Only Prom' Prom night is the most important night of your high school years.Prom night is the one night you will look back on forever and remember every little thing that happened.Good or bad thats the number one thing you will look back on once you leave High School.Yeah it's kind of a big deal...
they recorded it in a booth, and then play it back so they don't have to worry about dancing, acting lines and singing cause every night a persons voice can differ and do awful things
Besides, lets say some guy does ask her to marry her with the typical private, on-one-knee approach... If they're close enough that the guy is willing to take the risk of asking her to marry him, do you really think she'd turn him down? Even if she were disappointed with HOW he asked, its not likely she'd say no because it "wasn't good enough"...
This is likely a story she is going to tell over and over again throughout her life. Many of those times will be to future boyfriends (if this one is no longer in the picture for whatever reason). Do you honestly think a future boyfriend is going to hear the story of her "promposal" and still go with just the typical, completely boring in comparison, private on-one-knee approach?
Really, proposals? Kids, this is a high school dance with a person that almost all of you won't be dating after high school. This isn't marriage. This stuff is ridiculous!
Casey Godwin Can you read? It's not a proposal, it's a _promposal_, which is asking someone to prom. Do you really think high schoolers would think about marriage so early?
And this is why she'll be supper dissapointed when she's older and that stupid little marriage proposal is just some stupid guy on his knee in a some place private and not around for the whole world to see. Really this was just over kill, its only prom.
