EPIC RELEGATION BATTLE: Sanderstead vs Kingstonians (with ex-1st Class Cricketer) 

When you think of who could be playing in the 1st eleven, this is a splendid effort from the lads.

Us viewers knew we were in for a treat today when the Morcombe and Wise of club cricket commentary turned up early ( for a change) ... well done to the Sanderstead boys a nice gutsy win considering half the side are missing ... As for Dan and Lances comments on Will missing the game because it was his girlfriends BIRTHDAY .. never would have happened back in the day but times change and as for Dan missing the birth of his kids because of cricket all that matters he was there for conception

Really enjoyed watching the club’s exploits this season. As a former club player and now Director of the Norfolk Cricket Board the camaraderie and the way the lads play the game is a real credit to the club. Well done all.

Awesome win for the team & a marvellous effort staying considering the amount of unavailability & injuries. Interesting to see a couple of comments on here but life exists outside of amateur cricket & after all its a social activity. Some great performances & a stunning catch to get their only player out & as for MH, from one left arm tweaker to another, magical stuff!

Shame the season is almost over, but there's always the challenge of a fresh season next year, enjoyed it, winter well lads and lasses...

A cracking match and a well-earned win. Spirited bowling from Kingstonians, with a few Sanderstead batsmen getting good scores - I thought a total of over 190 would be needed. However, Kingstonians didn't have a strong enough batting lineup to deal with Sanderstead's fine bowlers, supported by determined fielding. The bespectacled lexicon should use 'accomplishment' as his next word of the day.

Another brilliant video.... you're getting quite good at this. The difference between teams was the opening partnership, Kingstonians were 4 down at 50 whilst Sanderstead passed that mark without loss. Jack came in at No.3 and top scored but it's so much easier to bat when the innings has a solid foundation.

A win brought about by enthusiasm, Matt H, some terrific catching. Brave l’equipe de Sanderstead.Deadly combo of youth and heavyweight experince. Cannot stop watching it. In Paris, France, there are a load of decent cricketers from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Playing against them for the Standard Athletic Club was always fun as it was a big day out for them and their families. You always knew three things...if you tossed it up the lads would try and hit it back to the homeland. There would be at least three run outs as batters looked to pinch the strike. If it started chatting, we were going to win the game. Oh yes, and if you were on tea duty, standard favourites such as pork pies or cheese and ham sandwiches hd to be replaced by egg sarnies and curried chicken wraps. Happy days...great lads.

I could be worse the wear from too many morning coffees, but I reckon that if someone spent a couple of hours a week in the nets with Matt he would score decent runs. He plays golf and hockey so he sees a ball...he never wears a helmet so he has guts ( or is silly) but gets out with silly shot selection. No more java for me this morning.
