Oh believe me you are NOT the only one! My jaw was in my lap when she said started pulling off that tape then moving in the furniture...I was holding on until the last item was brought into the room in hopes that she was gonna yell “gotcha , of course we’re gonna paint a second coat!” But...no....the disappointment and OCD I’m feeling atm is so overwhelming. I just can’t...I just can’t even...hmmmm I don’t know what to do with my life anymore. I can’t possibly go on living in a world where people actually only paint ONE COAT of paint! Can’t do it... Lol I’m totally kidding people. I hope nobody actually believes I’m THAT nuts, I’m just a little crazy. Just a tad. Lol
Yup, I would not have been able to just leave it like that. She probably should have painted a coat of white first as a primer, but it definitely needed a second coat of blue.
Hey Jen! A pro tip for painting: you should remove the tape when the paint is not completely dried. Generally 1-2 hours after painting is the best time to remove tape. Otherwise the paint could Chip and the edges aren’t as accurate as possible

love the statement wall! Another trick: instead of doing a mockup digitally is just to use washi/painters tape and just tape how you want the lines on the actual wall, then measure the tape sections and make your cuts. That way you can play around with the lines in case you don't like the design. I did this trick for an accent wall out of washi tape. =)
True! Also you never take off painters tape when the paint is dry, literally about 10mins if so much. Unless, the editing gave the wrong impression that she left the tape on while the paint dried.
My dad and I diyed a headboard for my bed last weekend and sadly we only had two old crappy staple guns.. he almost lost his mind because it was such a struggle 😂🤦🏼♀️
I love how you transformed it and made it look minimalist. It looks so good! The only thing I have to say (or critique if you will) is the painting of the wall. I would've definitely not skipped on the second (or third?) coat of paint. :)

The darker the color the more coat it needs. I did a similar color on my bedroom accent wall when I was a teen and that looked very patchy after one coat. At least 2 coats are absolute necessity, sometimes 3 as well depending on the color or quality of the paint
i have two brothers, one is 15 and the other 17, and honestly....they are so........emotionless....one time i told them we were going to travel to disneyland (just as a joke) and they were like “oh. cool” THAT WAS IT, my dad did jokes to me like that during my whole childhood and i always screamed lol. teenagers these days.
