Never failed a shiny... But yesterday I got a shiny vanillite in pkmn sword. It was full odds brilliant aura shiny. Lucky for me I caught it first ball (I never hurt shinies). He had explosion as one of his moves... That was close to a fail...
Got a shiny yamask no charm brilliant aura. wanted it in a heal ball. took like five turns to catch. Turns out it had memento.. my heart sank. So lucky
I don't know if I should find it worrying that it almost got away by blowing up or by the mere fact that and ice cream cone can blow itself up in the first place. XD
I don't think brilliant aura is full odds unless you never ko'd one. They have an increased shiny chance based on how many you've KO'd (which you can view in the dex).
I love these. I was shiny hunting mass massive outbreaks and found a shiny chimchar and forgot to save and then it ran. My boyfriend thought it was hilarious, he said I should of recorded it 😅😅😅
@@snorlax8879 I was petrified of having the disappearing horde fail happen...so I just ended up failing the old fashioned way. I've learned my lesson now 🤣
Always remember guys when playing Legend’s Arceus and you find a shiny do these steps too avoid a shiny fail. 1. Save your game when you find the shiny as soon it spawns in (for most of the time if you do fail it as long you saved before that fail you can still catch it by reloading you game, unfortunately like mentioned in this video if it pops up at the worst time possible time in a Outbreak it doesn’t guarantee too work). Now if you saved just as it’s about too despawn because of time of day there are ways too save it but it relies on your fast reflexes, as soon as you reload back in a second before the spawns reappear click onto you map, fast travel too your closest camp too you, go too the tent and click and sleep for the time of day that specific Pokemon would normally spawn in, and then head back too where you found that shiny and it should still be there. (This advice is definitely a pro level advice) 2. Never go into battle with it. Now it’s not like you can’t go into battle with it but you have a higher chance in failing it than you would do catching it outside of battle, as it could just run away if it’s a timid Pokemon, you killed it, or it killed itself. 2 of theses things are outside of your control so you want too avoid that as possible, the ways you can fail it outside of battle are all completely your fault besides the game just crashing which can happen anytime but as long saved you can avoid fails most of the time (which if you didn’t save then it’s kinda your fault as well either way) 3. Always have theses items on you: Jet Balls (or the equivalent depending on how far you are in the game), Ultra Balls (again or equivalent) and Sticky Globes (the best stun item) or any stun items (just items that stun Pokemon and not other affect ones). It’s also good too have Smoke Bombs on you too if you can’t find any place too hide but they not required just good too have for quality life support, same with Stealth Spray not required just good too have for quality life support if you want too avoid detection a lot easier. Berries and other throwable foods are not required either but if you just want too bring the Pokemon closer to you too make it easier too catch then handy too have on you. Finally Heavy Balls (or their equivalent) again are actually not required and out of the balls are technically the “worser”/harder too use of the types of balls but if you are able too get close enough too it without being spotted and hit its back with theses then this is when these balls become very affective, if you combine theses with the throwable food it becomes a pretty good combo catching method. With all of these items I mentioned it’s always a good idea too have more than you reasonable would normally use as at least this way you won’t really run out too often. 4. Try too be at a far distance most of the time and throw a ball from that distance (preferably the Jet Ball is your best option for this but if some strange angles are in your way then you can use other balls). By being from a far distance you have less likely too be detected. 5. If you do get detected and the Pokemon is aggressive just use the stun items on it (Sticky Globes preferably). When it’s stunned then just throw a ball at it. In this situation Ultra Balls are your best bet especially when multiple Pokemon are atking you but if can get behind it and very close too it you can use your Gigantic Balls (the best of Heavy Ball equivalent). It’s just you’re a lot faster with Ultra Balls than you are with Gigantic Balls. If you do these steps you practically unable too loose a shiny ever again except if you muck up with any of theses steps (mainly the saving step) or you actually game does something not right.
I hasn't failed yet. But there a trick some pokemon won't flee during battle then I catch it with ultra ball even if the hp is full unless it high level then try to deplete the hp to low as possible. Second one is if I know that pokemon gonna flee. I just sneak to it and feed it berries then catch it
@@calallen8786 even still that trick can only really work on Pokemon that will fight you and won’t runaway and plus you still can make the mistake of the Pokemon killing itself or you not paying attention and killing it yourself. In the end the best away too not loosing a shiny and debatably faster in catching it is avoid battling it. The only time you would battle a shiny is either you are doing some form of challenge and it requires you too battle Pokemon or it’s just your personal preference even with knowing that on a technical standard it’s a little bit more tedious and a higher likelihood for you too loose your shiny (though as long you save then it really only difference is speed)
I've failed one shiny in this game. A shiny Octillery in distortions. I noticed it too late and it despawned with the next set of spawns. Luckily i did reclaim it 😅
PLA has been the best fun I've had in Pokémon since like gen 4. I was never a shiny hunter before but it's such a thrill collecting shiny alphas of my favorites, most of which I had never legitimately found otherwise.
I got home and saw this and I’m so thankful that you featured my massively terrible clip in here. Thank you so much for doing these things they are so fun to watch!!!
The outbreak disappearing after saving happended to me t on a chingling, which was the only Shiny I have ever failed before (and now twice). Luckily I managed to reclaim it before the daybreak update made it much harder to hunt. But every Legends Shiny hunting tutorial tells us to save when a Shiny appears, but none warns us not to do this in the middle of outbreaks...
I heard a shiny pokemon appear but had absolutly no clue where it was. It was an Bronzor MMO and looked everywhere near the area. This was located in the Crimson Mirelands directly left of the Diamond Settlement where there is a big pointy mountain. I was so confused because I heard the Bronzor but there was no Bronzor in sight. I asked online if my game was glitched or something. But I soon found out that I was standing directly on top of the Solaceon Ruins (Unown Cave) and the shiny Bronzor was in there 😭😭😭😭 I completely forgot about that but it was too late and I already left the area 😭
I was doing a St. Pat's themed shiny race with a friend and he got to listen to me fail the same Voltorb twice in a row. Third time's the charm and he got a kick out of it, so all's well that ends well.
I’ve only failed one shiny in this game because I was new to hunting. A shiny Teddiursa. I had forgotten to save. Since then I haven’t failed a single one and I have almost 100 shinies
Even if you have your Autosave off, you can press up, X and B at the same time in the start screen. That will always bring you to the last time you zoned into the camp. Now the only issue is if you go to the camp after you find the shiny that got away, then it will only take you to that camp encounter
I actually failed a shiny chimecho in a massive mass outbreak but my latest save got deleted (i got a shiny nosepass too but i luckily redeemed it later, and i already had a shiny chimecho so it wasnt too bad)
quick epic shiny story: i saw a shiny alpha magikarp and right before i saved, it disappeared… oh man i was mortified. a red gyrados in this game would be so cool!!! a week later, another random shiny alpha magikarp popped up and i got that bugger… and it has the best nature! +attack stats!!!
I feel so bad for the number 3 spot. My first shiny was a full odds buneary too and I almost failed it but luckily I caught it before it could run. I wish this guy did too 😢.
I'm relatively new to shiny hunting, but I gotta question choice of balls in some of these cases... last one was using wing balls from short distance, and the buneary one was kept using regular pokeballs... I know it can be flustering getting the right ball in the menus but it didn't even seem like they wanted to use different ones...
Ran into a shiny Eevee in a outbreak I think it was, and threw the ball and didn't realize until it didn't pop up on the caught icon at the top that it escaped lol!
My first shiny in this game was a Buneary, and it was a random encounter, too. Was super excited and did everything to catch it (which I did). My only shiny fail in this game so far was a Combee, but that's okay because it was a male.
failed shiny munchlax had saved right when i heard the sound so still got it in the end like it’s ingrained now for me to legit stop what im doing after hearing the shiny sparkles and save right away
3:18 i didnt know this.. I failed a shiny eevee awhile ago and thought i got a bug where the outbreak dissapeared, im glad it wasnt a bug at least but still sad i failed it.
A Method that I use to never fail shinies, is having autosave on. If you find a shiny u can always go back to your latest autosave, which will most Likely be where you spawned in. And if you are about to do a massive outbreak, first save, And then turn the autosave off so you dont have to enable it again if you reset.
I've had good luck with shinies in Violet and Arceus, but I played through the entirety of Sword and its DLCs and only found one shiny Pokemon and it killed itself with curse 💀
Currently watching for therapy... just failed a shiny arceus that i got in under 50 attempt because it struggled itself to death because it wouldn't get in the ball... I'm now in the process of getting false swipe hypnosis gallade
Hasnt failed a shiny yet but got 6 so far elecbuzz, bunery, sliggoo, spiritomb, magikarp and duskull. Found out a way to catch it. If you know that pokemon won't run away go in battle and catch it with ultra ball. But if you know that pokemon have potential of running away just give them berry and sneak on it then catch it
I was very shocked to find out that the shiny odds were 1/4000 as I had found a shiny Starly within hours of staring the game. And then the next day a caught a shiny Kricketot, at that point I thought the game was running pokemon go shiny odds. And THEN as I'm making my way up to the Noble Electrode I run across a shiny Misdreavus. Three full odd shinys in the spand of a week, where was this luck when I was hunting Zygarde?
I had no clue you can lose the shiny if it's last batch on a Mass. That sucks. The only shiny fail I had was a Miltank back in Emerald a few years ago. One day, I'll find her again.🐄🌟
I wish I recoreded it but i didnt. Just the other day I was soft resetting for a shiny groudon in ultra sun and after 3 days I finally found it. I got it down to 1 hp and my fat finger decided to hit the run button. Luckly I soft reset there so I can still encounter groudon but man it hurt. I actually cried cause that was my very first shiny fail. I have 60 shinies in total along with a bunch of shiny legendaries and that was my first fail
I failed a shiny abra, I was riding around and I heard the shiny, didn’t know about saving yet and since I didn’t know what shiny abra looked like I looked around and thought it was kadabra. Battled it, no sparkle, I saved the video to try and see. My face when I noticed the abra teleport before my eyes :( I did reclaim it though!
I gave up with Piplup, I shiny hunted a massive outbreak of Prinplup and got the shiny. Ughhh and those jet balls really come in handy cause ughh regular Pokeballs will startle them.
