Ok, I've definitely eaten tomate de árbol raw. 😂 Great video - Ecuadorian cuisine is often underrated (as is Ecuador itself) and I agree that it's one of the most interesting culinary destinations in South America. Just don't tell costeños that you're eating mariscos in Quito... you'll never hear the end of it.
Psdt: si ven un local de comidas en quito con el título "comida costeña", "comida manaba" o "sazón manaba" salgan corriendo de ahí, es una verdadera estafa. Si quieren comer de verdad cómoda costeña, tiene que ser muy minuciosos y sino ir no mas a la costa Ecuatoriana e ir a Manabi (de los que tanto se jactan en quito por este sazón)
Muy reconfortable q des a conocer a los turista nuestra gastronomia pero el plato insignia es el encebollado reconocido como la 2da mejor sopa del mundo Ecuador es muy variable en su gastronomia en todas sus regiones

Chirimoya is absolutely fantastic. They are soooo effing good. Too bad in california where i live they are hard to find and super super expensive when available. If you ever get a chance try chirimoya ice cream. It's the best.

El Ecuador no es solo Guayaquil y la Costa, sabemos bien que su comida es deliciosa. Pero, también la Sierra,, Amazonía y Galápagos tienen su propia y deliciosa comida.
