Thanks, is was a journey and a half! That road in the beginning was interesting and with our a 4x4 jeep or truck it can see it being a major show stopper.
If you go, do september, and then camp at the bottom near the water stream, then make the accent the following day. That is what i would do different on the next go around.
We stayed 1 night in Shasta prior to driving to the trail. Then camped 1 night on the mountain about 9-10k feet. I would recommend to camp down lower by the stream and then submit the next morning
