EPIC Unboxing of 263 oz of Prospector's Gold & Gems Silver Poured Bars Video Making Bars: • Casting 2 oz gold bars... Website To Order: www.prospectorsgoldandgems.com...
These are cool bars, but holy crap! The premium is over $5 per ounce! Direct from the company! I can see getting a few to collect, but no thanks on dropping that much extra cash for a pile. Think about it. On just this order, you could have had an EXTRA 70+ ounces of silver if you had purchased generic.
+Hans “Hanzy4200” S. Hans, if you buy in bulk you can get it cheaper. The 1 oz bars were $3.50 over spot, the 2-5 oz were $2.50 over spot and the 6-10 oz was $2.00 over spot. Not sure they still do that, but that is the deal I got from them.
Silver Slacker That makes it better for sure. Still a bit high in my opinion for a private mint. To each his own. That is odd though, because I saw no discount offered for bulk buys. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
+Hans “Hanzy4200” S. Like many of these smaller mints, you just have to contact them directly and see what you can work out. I do the same for Atlantis Mint and YPS.
1 year and*-10 months and a re-visit any time eh! months and still enjoying yer stuff. When I see all those 1oz and their klunker brothers bumping shoulders makes me laugh.Good to see you keep us with this knowhow. We always will appreciate this stuff.
Silver I have to hand it to you another great vid on large order and thanks for the website information. Love those prospector bars very neat and cool. Keep stacking my friend
Been watching some of your previous videos and you're a booger getting me hooked on this! My order came in today for the 1 Oz and a few other sizes and they are incredibly addictive holding and looking at them! My favorite is the 1 Oz too. This is like buying candy or something, but without the calories!
Poured silver bars definitely have a wonderful old world look and feel to them. They always remind me of the silver bars that were made during the age of pirates and privateers.
LOL, sometimes I don't have much of a filter when filming and just speak what I am thinking lol. I guess it makes for good video and a true reaction to what I think :) I have fondled plenty of MK Barz in my videos :) It is why I like the 1 oz bars you make lol...
That certainly was epic! Wow! I met these guys and interviewed them at the Baltimore Coin show, if you get a chance to check it out. Very cool. Nice to be able to hold them and handle without worry. Thanks for sharing. Great video!
question. when you go to sell those arent they harder to sell since theres no serial numbers on them and no sealed case with same serial number on the protective plastic seal paper on each one? i heard its a pain in butt to sell without those things
Epic is a gross understatement lol. I love the bar videos and BigStacks mentioned this video. This video was amazing and is exactly what I want to do one day. Thank you for posting, sir.
Thank you for the kind words, and yeah BigStack is a great guy! I'm glad you liked it, and I just uploaded another one which is similar from Atlantis Mint this time. Huge Atlantis Mint Poured Silver Bar Unboxing!
I have watched a lot of your videos, I like them. And wow is all I can say. Also you are very well organised. I plan to watch your silver exit plan vid next
ive actually met the guy in the video making the bars, he was at the Colorado Springs coin show this summer and I actually sold him a 1/10 ounce gold eagle. Very smart guy and had a ton of silver and gold for sale, I should have picked up some of those bars
Wow that was over a 5000.00 dollar order and not to mention the last couple huge unboxings you have done.. You are really killing it lately...I am jealous..lol nah but really awesome work bud..keep the videos coming i been looking everyday since you said you had a large unboxing coming and it was worth it..gonna watch it again now
Thanks for all the kind words Brian! If you can't tell I am really excited that we are seeing these low prices and I'm doing my best to take advantage of them. I'm picking up stuff that I have wanted for awhile now, and I love that it's all on sale!
I am new to silver stacking and have a question about long term storage. Do you need to put anything in with your silver, such a silica gel packs or anything to keep it from corroding? Also same question for gold.
+MIKE B Welcome to the community! Silver nor Gold corrode so you don't have to worry about that. Silver can get milk spots in humid places, so some people use the gel packs to help fight that, but I don't worry about it.
Totally awesome unboxing ! The is a mega amount for your stack. Makes total sense with the current black friday oct/nov smack down in price - HAPPY STACKING ! :)
Great Vid.. and yes.. Title was correct.. EPIC... Totally awesome silver.. Man.. where did you get that box.. i need to pick on up for my son.. he would go nuts over that... Let me know if you have a second. Thanks for sharing.. great job!!
Thanks for the kind words! As far as the box, just do a search for Vintage Treasure Chest on ebay and you will see a bunch of different kinds. They will run you about $40-$50 depending on the bidding or which one you like.
I keep looking at their website when shopping. I actually bought some of their frac gold rounds that funny enough look like the new type 2 eagles this year in a way lol. Wow you been making videos for years and they have been impressive for years! Did you do any full stack reveals?? We have to know how much all of this is brother!
great video.....one good thing about being a fan of poured bars are that you can afford to indulge in childhood dreams of owning your very own treasure chest of "loot" to dump and play with!!
brian coleman It all just depends on the collectibility of them. Limited coins that are in demand will normally out preform bars like this because the company still make the same design. So a bar made 2 years ago will look like one made now so their isn't much collectibility to it. But if they stop making these bars the premiums may start to go up.
Thanks Stephen! As far as the pricing, the $27 on their website is only if you buy 1. Like I said in the video, if you want to place an order you really need to email them or call them for the wholesale pricing. I paid the wholesale price of $3.50 over spot for the 1 oz bars, 2-5oz were $3 over, and the 6-10 were $2 over. Basically it came out to about $478 cheaper than if I purchased these bars at AMPEX. To get their wholesale pricing I believe they want an order of at least 100 ounces, but they may work with people on that.
Whats the advantage of buying the silver bars rather than just buying silver stock on the stock market? Is it kinda like the "Cash is king" type deal where having the real thing is better?
+paintball130 Well it all depends on the person. I like it because it is off the books wealth, and something I can hold. Plus silver stock in the stock market is just digital silver and used for a trading platform. Many believe if SHTF, then those people who own SLV are just as screwed as the other people who don't.
so how exactly do i get the lowest price for my silver. obviously my first silver (5 canadian dollars with the superman emblem) was alot more expensive then the spot price. especially since i have high shipping costs because i live in the Netherlands when buying coins. or atleast numeristics i don't have to pay extra taxes for the silver itself. but other then that. just ordering 100 of them on the website is a dumb thing to do right? i have to e-mail them to ask for a custom offer? or do i have to come up with an offer myself and present it to them?
Well it all depends on the company. I contacted this company directly to work out a better deal because I bought so much at one time. It doesn't hurt to ask for a discount when buying in bulk from companies like this. Now big bullion dealers already give discounts for larger orders and put it on their website.
silver slacker i have a question please reply im looking for low premium silver for cheap were can i get it ? at ampex you dont get a great deal you know any other place?
Silver Slacker I need your help what do I tell my dad I want to start silver stacking and he keeps telling me to buy silver from desperate people and that buying from online places like apmex provident etc is a bad idea cause its too expensive what do I tell him to change his mind because I know apmex provident etc is one of the best places to get silver
LOL well I would ask him how to find these desperate people? The silver sales on Ebay are far higher than Apmex or Provident. The only way to get it cheaper I guess would be to put out an add on Craigslist, but that comes with it's own issues as far as you might get robbed, or the silver you buy isn't real.
Nice and cool looking poured bars! I know you are a fan of poured bars, but comparing current prices of prospector bars compared to American Eagle coins....which do you prefer?
***** I think it is important to diversify. I have a couple hundred silver eagles, which I feel is plenty. I like the poured bars better, and I know there is a premium on them, but you will get that back. Here are all the recent sales of PG&G poured bars and you will see they hold their premium very well: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Prospectors+poured+silver&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=73505&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1
Silver Slacker Interesting. Looks as those are willing to pay a premium of cost-per-ounce for something different. I don't have any of the prospector silver, but still debating between them and others who offer a cheaper price.
I'd love to get some of these but the premiums are just too high for what they are in my opinion. (still might get some tho lol). But more importantly, where'd you get that killer pirate chest?? Great video.
