I just hope the pressure from Universal’s constant expansion will convince Disney to finally start improving their park experiences again. They’ve been cutting costs for a while now and it’s really starting to show.
I really want Universal to dethrone WDW, however I want it to be one hell of a “fight” full of innovation, however right now Disney is just barely doing anything! I hope Disney will see big losses after epic universe opens hopefully that changes things
@@ColonelCoockiethat’s the beauty of capitalism. If it weren’t for Disney on their a game, universal wouldn’t have a reason to innovate. Without universal Disney doesn’t have a reason to innovate. I recently switched teams and I’m now on team universal and can’t wait for epic. They lost a good cast member but Universal will not be disappointed
Sorry for spamming but throw Jurassic Park water ride in there with the scary rides. That was no joke as a kid. The Mummy is a perfect example too. Perfect amount of horror. It raises the stakes beyond a normal coaster. Easily one of the best dark rides ever
THANK YOU!! 👏👏👏 Bro is single-handedly saying what we all thinking! Also DO NOT REPLACE JURASSIC PARK WITH JURASSIC WORLD. Just renovate and renew it!!
First major theme park since DAK and islands of adventure. That’s the difference. Back in the day Disney would have responded with another park now all they do is retheme splash mountain and idk the ability to make lightning fastpass 7 days out?
@@PatThePerson They don't need a new theme park right now. They still have 4 vs Universal catching up with 3. The last few years, Disney has definitely opened more great additions compared to Universal. I think its a simple case of people wanting to be mad at Disney. The Universal parks don't look all that great right now. IOA has an entire land with literally nothing but a restaraunt + a talking fountain, Kong + Fast & Furious are terrible, Minions Villain Con was a failure, and Jimmy Fallon is passable at best. Universal hit it out of the park with Hagrids and Velocicoaster but in the time Disney made: Flight of Passage Navi River Journey Frozen Ever After Mickey and Minnies Slinky Dog Dash Alien Swirling Saucers Rest of Toy Story Land Smugglers Run Rise of the Resistance Rest of Star Wars Land Journey of Water Guardians of the Galaxy Remy's Ratatouille Adventure Tron Light Cycle Run Tiana's Bayou Adventure Country Bear Musical Jamboree and of course other stuff like firework shows, misc shows etc in between. I would say Disney is just fleshing out what they already have and not charging an extra ticket to see their new stuff. Even if you don't love some of disneys new direction, they are still pumping out around 1-2 high quality attractions a year
The reason why I scared of epic universe is that it’s going to revolutionize the way theme parks are created, they probably never going to be a old fashioned and outated rides anymore. The only ride left out of the old world from universal is ET ride, but Disney has alot old fashioned rides. The new era will put an end the old fashioned way of making theme parks. I don’t like new and modern hyped things. I think one of the reasons why Disney is failing is because they can’t create things that fit the audience of the modern era. Universal has dr seuss land ,but is mostly is forgotten and has short ride lines and people kind of skim over it when mentioning universal. Most kids these days don’t like old carousel and theming like fantasy land or Disney princes rides anymore they like new modern exciting rides like the velociraptor coaster. there growing up and leaving the old fashioned in the dust.
@@othergoogleaccount-wy9hc I’m ngl, I think you are WAY overhyping epic universe considering universal has had some very major recent blunders. I think epic is super cool but you’re acting like it’s going to make haunted mansion end? Haunted mansion and similar rides are literal cultural icons. They’re not going to end because of the 5 unique rides at epic universe (the others are flat rides or clones of existing rides)
This is the land that I look forward to the most. I want to go there the first time and save it for last after it gets dark and enter the land at dusk.
Beyond just the edgier themes, there's just so much more creativity in this park and better utilization of IP and themes. Disney has felt like they are mailing it in lately. I agree that Avatar was probably their last 'wow' attraction/area. Universal, meanwhile, has been cooking with the Harry Potter IP. I think the How To Train Your Dragon area will be better than you think, and create more fans of the franchise. But, if they hit on the vibe that Dark Universe is promising, that will likely be the crown jewel of the park.
The HttyD land is actually my most anticipated land at epic universe, since not only am I a big fan of the franchise, but the way the land has been designed along with all the different characters you'll be able to meet is just beyond hype.
me too. we've never seen a ride let alone a park based off of httyd despite it being a highly loved franchise. even if you didnt grow up reading all the books and watching all the movies like i did, no one can deny how cute and captivating the dragons are, and there will be some really cool land features. it will be an amazing world regardless of your familiarity with httyd. i do wish they added a real thrill ride though.
Universal: we are taking a big chance by creating a land about our classic movie monsters! Disney: No one wants this land, it's too scary and will turn people away. *Universal drops the trailer making everyone excited for the land* Universal: Well, they were wrong, weren't they?
I hope if Dark Universe turns out to be a successful land that it inspires Disney to officially greenlight that Disney Villains land that they have been teasing as a potential expansion.
The classic monsters are sooo iconic and timeless I think. But also like you said, it’ll probably be great anyways because the rides will be fun regardless
Horror all year round? Like Haunted Mansion? Like The Mummy? Like Tower of Terror? Like Jurassic Park? Yes. Everyone loves horror. Have you ever ridden Mr Toad? You literally DIE AND GO TO HELL. We all love to be a little scared.
I’m excited for Dark Universe as well! Even if people don’t have nostalgia for the classic horror films due to how old they are, a whole lot of people love the gothic aesthetic and they might enjoy that themed land based off of that. As for me, I enjoy both even though I know how dated the special effects are in those old movies.
I'm excited for epic. Looked at both parks and decided universal is going be a better choice for my family and me. I'm excited to see the direction they take this.
Given Disney’s work with Nintendo in the past on some video games & theme park stuff in Japan, it is BAFFLING to me that they didn’t do whatever they could to get Mario + Pokemon. Like AMAZINGLY. But hey, they also passed on Harry Potter back in the day because JK Rowling wanted more creative freedom than Disney was willing to give her, and then Universal pounced on the opportunity, which turned out to be the first really major expansion that really allowed them to start growing beyond just an extra day destination on a Disney vacation. So it seems Disney is succumbing to an illusion that is fatal to companies: the illusion of invincibility.
Universal made the genius move of dipping into video game IPs. Not just any video game IP but the most well known, family friendly video game universe that is the Nintendo family. Meanwhile, Disney has beaten-to-death Star Wars and who cares Avatar. I honestly think they fudged the numbers on the ticket sales for Avatar 2. That garbage was garbage. The land looks cool though.
In terms of an audience for Dark Universe, the official Universal Monsters instagram has 132K followers, and even though that doesn’t mean a lot, they are still somewhat popular to this day. Also, the Halloween Enthusiasts (like myself) will eat this up. As a massive fan of the movies, this is for certain my most anticipated land.
What I don’t see when people talk about DU, is the long tradition of ‘haunted houses’ in carnivals, amusement parks, etc. people are always looking for that thrill - also no one mentions the Haunted Mansion in so many of the Disney parks, that is essentially a ‘horror’ ride ( ghosts, skeletons, killer brides 😱) and hugely popular (and I would argue Disney wouldn’t have the balls to make today). I think DU is going to do just fine.
Epic Universe in a Nutshell: Celestial Park: The in-between to where you actualy want to go. Mario Land: Kid Central, highest wait times How To Train Your Dragon: Kid Central part 2, Second highest wait times Harry Potter Land: Where the people of culture will head first, still high wait times Dark universe: Where the adults go.
Wasn't expecting this vid to turn into a Dark Universe love letter, but I'm down with it! It's the area I'm most excited for too and to your point, we've seen other versions of the other lands. There's even a How To Train Dragon theme park land in Dubai. To your other points, I love Rise of the Resistance, but honestly it could have been built in Tomorrowland and I still would love it. I didn't need a full Star Wars land. And Tower of Terror in Japan doesn't even have the Twilight Zone IP. It has its own original story. But because the ride system is the same, it's still enjoyable with a different story. Overall, Epic Universe is the first fully developed, completely new theme park to open in Orlando since the late 90s with Animal Kingdom and Islands of Adventure. The fact that Universal already announced no single day tickets on opening, means they know its gonna be a hit. Now if only one of those expansion pads could become a new Amity Island with a revamped modern day Jaws attraction.
If it's to teach them that "Forced Wokeness and Ideology" is NEVER the way and that they must do better with their parks, then yes........ Be afraid Disney Parks, be VERY afraid
my parents brought me on the mummy when i was like 8ish. absolutely terrifying. i remember getting off and quite literally being too stunned to speak lol
Universal should iron out whatever licensing kinks there are between them and Paramount and put in a Star Trek Land. That would completely ice Disney. The rides already existed; just bring them back and spruce them up a little. The 2 motion simulators from the ST Experience in Vegas, and that TNG shuttle roller coaster from somewhere in Europe. Add in updated versions of stuff from the Vegas experience like Quark’s Bar & Grill, the prop museum, clothing/costume shops. Characters in costume and in full character mode. And then as the coup de grace; a themed hotel. Not some weird 3 day larping thing, but an actual hotel with Trek theming.
I don't see them "destroying" disney. Disney's brand and following is too massive to be overtaken. I do see this as making disney become more competitive, which is good for everyone.
Honestly Jurassic Park,Harry Potter attraction are loosely horror based so why no have the universal monster back they should be there I mean the legacy of those movies are awesome I can’t wait I’m just happy a whole land will be there
I’m not sure saying Pixar is dead is relevant anymore. Inside out 2 just became the highest grossing pixar movie ever. But as far as theme park are concerned universal is blowing disney out of the water
It’ll definitely cut into Disney’s revenue, but a lot of the talk of how Epic will completely destroy WDW has always seemed very hyperbolic to me. Unfortunately, Walt Disney World, particularly the Magic Kingdom, is a cultural icon. It doesn’t matter how much modern Disney withers down the experience through paywalls and cheap attractions, they’re a household name. They can’t be dethroned easily. The combined nostalgia of multiple generations of park-goers has formed an impenetrable shield around Disney World that no matter how hard Universal tries, refuses to break. That’s not to say they can’t entirely though, if Universal plays their cards right in the coming decades and if Disney (hopefully) keeps going the way they’re going, UOR may have a chance at exceeding them in attendance.
"Not a lot of people like being scared watching a film" What? I think you missed the mark with this opinion, man. Last year alibe horror films nade $798,000,000. I'd say people love being scared while watching films.
Universal likes to reinvest in their parks, they also keep a seperate board of directors for their theme parks and their movies, Disney has one that oversees everything Disney and that’s where they might end up in trouble. Universal likes to roll the dice, and they’ve been really lucky so far. I think Epic Universe will decisively win the theme park war for somebody, but I’m not sure who. If they don’t give it 100% opening day it won’t work, and they are pouring all their money into this. Disney has a lot of resources. I love both parks and I think it’s healthy competition to keep them both on top of their game.
when they announced the tron ride i was over the moon. Tron legacy is potentially my favorite movie of all time. can’t explain it but i love that movie to death and will defend it forever
As Disney just revealed their new expansion plans I am both happy and sad. I love all the new lands coming to all the parks but as I’ve looked over there is one thing Disney has always needed. A thrill park. With a 17 billion dollar budget I think Disney could make this work
I did grow up watching How to train a dragon, and I’m just thinking, how cool would an RMC be in that land. It would fill the only hole Universal has in their ride line-up, a wooden coaster(or hybrid), and would spread the visitors in the park. It just makes sense! Plus it works quite well in the theme of the land
You haven't watched How To Train Your Dragon???? WHAT! It's absolutely fabulous! Do it! Do it now! Even the John Powell soundtrack is immense on its own.
It would be be great...if they built a dome around dark universe... so make it look dark and gloomy. Make feel like if it was night time. And add sound effects of thunderstorms
How the AF have you not watched HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON????? I'm nearly 50 and that franchise is one of my all time favorites. It's not childish in any way, it deals heavily with adult content and real world life applications. Grow up and watch them already. Better yet, film your reaction to them. 🤦🤦♀️🤦♂️
the uk has rides like wickerman based on human sacrifice which is incredibly popular with families. I know it sounds a little bit bonkers but the lines don't lie darker themes can work
I wish they would go full adult horror in the land, like Halloween horror nights. There is tons of successful RU-vid channels geared towards haunted houses, etc. because there Is a huge market for it. If there wasn't, they wouldn't be opening up in Vegas!!!
If it wasn't for the donkey Kong coaster I wouldn't have that much interest on Super Nintendo land;another Potter area is fine and the How to Train your Dragon land looks cool but by far I'm most interested in the Monsters land, and most people you hear say rhe same thing!
I think with Dark Universe, Universal probably took note of the popularity of kids horror games and thought Dark Universe would be a good add. Plus, i personally dont find any classic horror creature to be scary. Demons are scary. Dapper bat man with pointy teeth and funny accent, not so much.
@@TheKacklinKraken Alicia Stella knows. That's who knows. If you follow her you'll now how accurate she's been on virtually every aspect related to Epic Universe.
Anything new will directly compete with Disneyland, they need competition and they need to have some bad decisions to once again thrive again - that is the good thing about competition. Anyone read about the cost to attend the park and hotels?
Funny how it turned from talking about how epic universe will destroy Disney to talking about dark universe, and will it succeed? (I am not complaining I am just as hyped if not more hyped for dark universe just pointing it out) 🙂
Is anyone forgetting how the daylight and bright hot Florida sun may tame the effect of Dark Universe? It will be an evening night land to get full effects. Nocturn Alley doesn’t work without Dark. Same thing here Just saying
Universal's Most Controversial Decision and Super Nintendo World and harry Potter and how did you train your Dragon and no more dark universe / classic monsters 👹/ epic universe the great universal epic hotel a lot / epic universe theme fair grounds park I will say no for classic monsters
If Disney wants to compete expand each park to where it matches a park size that will help and if the bring back fast pass, the busses to and from MCO I like Disney but universal is winning in Florida
@@zarajenkins6948 if it makes money it makes sense. Universal has been making so much sense for a decade. Disney has been making no sense this past decade. Universal is already the king 👑 now. Whether you like it or not.
When EPIC UNIVERSE open it will definitely narrow the gap, between Universal and Disney. But to some nay sayers to say, when EU opens it's going destroy Disney not so fast.Disney has an huge brand. It's almost like saying, AEW [ALL ELITE WRESTING will destroy WWE WORD WRESTING ENTERTAINMENT.I'm glad too see UNIVERSAL stepping up to the plate and challenge DISNEY.It's great for the consumer, because all parks will benefit from EPIC UNIVERSE opening. From Disney to Sea World and Busch Gardens, will get an bump in attendance revenue

Nope. vomit vomit vomit vomit. RnR? Amazing. Make it go to 400,00,000 mph, as long as it doesn't have a free fall. #vomit I can take any positive or sideways gs, but negative? instant vomit.
It won’t kill Disney, but the top ten list just came out and all 3 domestic Universal parks made the list with IOA at #2 under Dollywood and MK at #3. No other Disney parks made the list. When EU opens, MK will inevitably move down further. I expect it to remain in the top ten because it’s still a great park, but the nonchalant approach Disney is taking to Universal isn’t going to work.

Universal will never truly destroy Disney, since everything going on now and how lackluster Disney has been won’t be the case for all of eternity. Eventually something will happen and Disney will put out something crazy, then after that there will be another 2025 moment where Universal takes a major hit at Disney right when they have nothing to offer. Although, there are some people online who are huffing major copium by telling themselves that Epic Universe won’t do anything to Disney. It’s more accurate to say that Universal will custom Disney in 2025 than to say that it’ll do nothing at all.
Sorry buddy but know. I know a lot about this stuff and no. I love epic universe and how it’s looking but it will do damage to Disney but what people don’t realize is that the other two parks will be destroyed as well when it comes to guest. You can say universal is good but they don’t have a pull factor, and I love universal but realistically no. Also another thing, I love the idea of epic but no offense but universal is kinda running out of ideas. Yes they are getting new movies but they don’t make and original ideas and are running out of big properties instead of helping there 2 they have already.
If they build Pokémon at USF and Legend of Zelda at IOA it’ll bring a huge crowd and also make it so Nintendo fans have to visit all 3 dry parks ala WWoHP. I have high hopes after EU opens that they’ll start focusing on Lost Continent and after that, the Simpsons area. 🤞
The irony of you saying “Universal ran out of ideas” when trying to defend Disney 💀 I don’t disagree with what you’re trying to get across, it’s just the fact that your reasoning is almost as dog shit as your grammar.
Sorry - but while Epic Universe might be the go to place for a short while in the central florida area -the reality is and has always been that UNIVERSAL is even worse then Disney at updating and replacing attractions at their park - the Original Universal park in ORLANDO is a study in that - so many rides have closed but little has been added that improves the park. King Kong is gone- Jaws is gone -earthquake is gone Nickelodeon is gone backstage tour is gone - Poseiden is gone - but what has replaced them? THe addition of Harry potter is really just to connect the two parks. Disney has already announced a 60 Billion dollar expansion that Universal could not match if they wanted to.
Announcing and implementing are two different things. They've been working on that tron ride for years now. And spending tons of money but putting into lackluster rides will not keep people invested. Universal for Epic is showing that they are putting in that time and care that we used to praise disney for.
@@deathmetalbard But the fact is UNIVERSAL has not even ANNOUNCED upgrades to the two existing parks much less implemented any - so they are a one trick pony. THe original Universal Orlando is not worth visiting and the Second park has sat pretty much without any upgrades in years. Yes -they will have ONE park that will be new -BUT they are going to charge as IF all three were worthwhile and they are not. Universal will remain that day trip from a Disney Visit and not the other way around
The comment at 4:53 about going up a chain lift is ironic considering that the reason i have zero hype for Epic Universe is because it does nothing about the Universal Orlando Resort's launch oversaturation. The only big coaster in the entire resort without a launch is Hollywood RRR, and that seems to be on it's way out. Stardust Racers shouldn't have been launch coasters, instead they could have gone with something like Hyperia at Thorpe Park but on a smaller scale one have two of them. IMO Stardust Racers are a bad addition to the Universal Orlando Resort because they don't add anything truly new to the resort's coaster lineup. Place them in almost any other park and they'd be excellent additions. I get that coasters aren't everything, but would it kill you Universal to go with something big that doesn't feature a launch (excluding something like F.L.Y. at Phantaisaland) for once?
Don't be ridiculous. People are still going to visit Disney. They can only enjoy Epic Universe so much for so long before the fun eventually starts to wear off and then they'll get bored and think: "We've been doing Epic Universe for almost a week now, but it just doesn't feel the same as what it was on the first day. I want to do something away from not just Epic Universe, but away from Universal in general. But what? I know, Disney World is only 9 miles down the road, let's go there!" So there you have it
People are going to be more tired of disneyworld than epic universe... Disney hasn't opened a new theme park since 1998, your arguement makes no sense. Nobodys saying "aww this new theme park is so boring, lets go visit the insanely expensive and exactly the same as last time disney theme park". Yes, people will still go to disney, thats a given, and thats not what hes suggesting, of course disney is still going to make money, but universal will finally become on the same level as disney, and possibly become better, as they're planning more expansion. This comment is stupid.
@@FinkeltonJrExcuse me. But Disney is also expanding. Not only are we getting a huge expansion of Magic Kingdom, but there's also the expansion agreement that Disney signed with the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District worth 17 billion dollars, that has led to a rumour of Disney possibly building a 5th theme park. Also, what I meant to say was that Epic Universe will definitely be fun and exciting for the first month or so of operation, there's no doubt about that. But then after that, it'll just be another theme park. So, if this guy thinks Universal will destroy Disney World, the biggest theme park resort in Florida, what does he think will happen to the other smaller theme parks, like Six Flags or Seaworld?
But can’t the same be said vice verca? The disney parks are currently riding off the success they’ve had in previous years and only innovating when in dire situations (2010 marked the opening of the wizarding world of Harry Potter, marking universal as a main player in the Florida theme park industry and making it a main attraction instead of a pit stop (going from under a million to over 7 and a half million upon opening) Disney was forced to respond and began work on Pandora (and new fantasyland but it was more of an expansion to a Pre-existing land but for the sake of including it it came out in 2012 and was overshadowed by Diagon Alley in 2014) but it took until 2017 for it to actually open (Universal during this time had already opened Diagon Alley and experienced another burst of success but we can’t exactly tell how well this land was due to Disney not releasing attendance numbers)) when the theme park crown is about to be snatched from their head. Yet during downtime, they haven’t done much to persuade potential park attendants. During that time we’ve got updates to the parks that have betrayed the general publics trust as if recent (hiking up prices after their streaming investment didn’t go according to plan, reportedly bringing a single day, single admission ticket to $119 for 2025, with the only thing making the deal sweeter is Disney selling a bundle to make the initial day seem more affordable (current deal is $34 per day) yet they still get over $500 upon just tickets) but to be fair Universal also has high ticket prices (but to be unfair the 14 day package is cheaper) yet their brand name has remained clean with little saying they’re price gouging (common complaint I’ve heard with Disney) due to merchandise pricing. Plus they’ve slowed down once Universal hasn’t released anything (yet they are well aware of Epic Universe yet turn a blind eye to it). The Epcot expansion hasn’t amounted to much yet with it being disappointing and not delivering the promised spaceship earth update, leaving it pretty outdated, they just copied and pasted Tron, they removed a signature ride and replaced it with a pretty inferior replacement (it’s still decent just has some writing flaws, animatronic flaws (with one of the Tiana animatronics having exposed inside? Wiring? Whatever) and just an underwhelming upgrade overall) and a doubling down on ip in the park despite audiences getting burnt out of marvel and Star Wars.) keeping people coming back due to old memories (spurred by the pandemic which sparked a wave of people going on holiday just out of spite for being inside the whole year). What I’m saying is that people are burnt out of Disney parks. Due to the hype built up around each and every announcement, you can tell. Disney has constantly failed on every other front (movies are less well received, streaming is putting more strain on Disneys supply of money and their reputation has been corroded by time) and double down on the parks with upped prices and plans that sound good on paper, but aren’t in the interests of consumers. They’ve forgotten what makes the theme parks special and only do it to keep the whole company afloat. If the only thing you have going for you at the moment is memories, then I say it’s been overdue an assassin for a while. Where Disney failed, Epic universe innovates, solving the problem of disconnect in parks ruining Emerson (you walk from a different planet to earth but you’re suddenly the size of a toy? That’s odd. We have portals to connect everything!), Movie burnout (well, we have a never before seen hub, the first ever immersive video game land, a section based off of our horror movies that where adapted from other means of storytelling meaning if you aren’t familiar with the movies, the original stories might still ring a bell, another based on a movie franchise that admittedly barely anyone is excited for unless you’re a die hard fan and the third part in our themed area trilogy based of a major location in the main films while deriving most of the theming from the spin-off) and genuinely seeming like a project way out of the scope of what Disney will do since they haven’t put out a main theme park with this level of dedication to detail in ages. Now that I’ve done my little rant I’m here to say I have nothing against people who like Disney. It’s fine, they have solid attractions that I liked a lot but due my trust in the company as a whole withering away my trust, I’m happy to a major blow being dealt to the mouse’s cash cow. I feel like Disney has lost the plot and thinks that customers will keep returning simply because of brand recognition and if this opens their eyes and they start making quality stuff again, I’ll probably shift to the side of Disney but right now they are so behind that I feel like there needs to be something that tells Disney to step up. To say that Disney will be unscathed from this is probably far from what’s happening. Audiences have been bashing Disney for ages and with the update to Epcot being the most recent and underwhelming thing, they are probably looking for something to shake up the game. If Disneys left as the head of theme parks, with their lack of changes, poor choices and the only factor going for it is brand recognition, perception of theme parks will shift for the worst. Universal will damage Disney and with 2 expansion slots, it seems like the well is still not dry Again, no hate to you or anyone that likes Disney over universal. Genuinely, you seem really passionate about it and I’d love to hear more of your perspective since I lost my taste in Disney ages ago. Again, I could be wrong and Universal absolutely fumbles it, tripping and dropping the daggers on the floor before impaling themselves upon their own accidental trap. I’m just excited to see how this pans out and ride some things I’ve had years worth of hype for. Stay doing things I guess (I’m bad at outros)
@@Randologic.Bit of a pessimist you are. As I told you, people will continue to visit Disney World, not because of the rides, the attractions, or even the fireworks. But, even if Epic Universe does have a huge impact on Disney, which it won't, we'll see more and more Disney World discounts, which means more money saving

We will never let that happen, I say stand up and say "Epic Universe is for the birds with a few things that HHN contains from Universal Studios that we could name a few but someone has to pay". Disney World is proper for those who like the richness both Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom had.
Let me think. Probably only able to have Firework shows on the 4th of July and New Years because local residents wont put up with it. Whereas Disney has fireworks 365 days a year. People travel with their families and go to Disney. Kids build up nostalgia and do the same for kids. Sure as kids hit their tweens they want to be edgy and do adult stuff but the parents might only do a day or 2 in those other parks. Letting your kid roam the entire Disney campus seems safe. Universal and Epic not so much.
I Love Both DISNEY THEME PARKS AND UNIVERSAL STUDIOS THEME PARKS BUT I'M MORE OF A DISNEY THEME PARKS GUY BECAUSE I'M A HUGE DISNEY FAN BECAUSE BOTH OF DISNEY AND UNIVERSAL HELP ME GOING THROUGH MY TOUGH TIMES AND DEPRESSIONS AND MAYBE STRESSFUL TIMES SOMETIMES THIS ISN'T A COMPETITION BETWEEN THOSE TWO THEME PARKS

Twilight zone only relevant because of the tower of terror! LMAO nah it’s one of the best shows of all time and been a new years staple with their marathons running since the 80s …influences can be seen all over, goosebumps, black mirror, creeped out etc.
Give me a break, both Orlando Universal parks barely can match just the one Magic Kingdom park in 2023 attendance. Disney has nostalgia, and a deep historical, cultural affection. Imagineering is on a different level as opposed to buying rides and attractions from big box stores. Yes Universal will have its time in the spot light and I’m excited by Dark Universe and Potter, Celestial, the remainder portals I couldn’t care less. Disney has a culture and is a true vast resort with over 27,000 acres with more than 25 resorts! It’s laughable. Disney will only up there game. People will always pay more for Disney. It’s the Disney details, festivals, landscaping, animals/zoological attractions, sight lines, cleanliness, hospitality, golfing, fishing, camping and so many restaurants including Michelin rated. Universal Orlando/Japan wouldn’t exist without Disney.
Living in nostalgia land? You know many imagineers jumped ship to do Epic? Please oh please tell what Disney did to keep with original vision in past 2 decades (even as great as Pandora is it does NOT fit with original feel of DAK). How is the monstrosity that is Tron fit with theme of Tomorrowland? And don’t even start with the laughable IPs being pushed into Epcot. Like WTF is guardians going there? Terrific attraction but SERIOUSLY? Disney USED to do great ORIGINAL things that became classics on their own now they are pushing ANYTHING that might make them a buck to satisfy Bobs ego and vanity projects NBA experience anyone?
