My favorite National park. As an introvert I think The North Rim is a perfect vibe..Thank you for uploading and reminding me to go back before it closes next month!! 🙏🏾
I love the Grand Canyon. It is so beautiful, but I don’t remember being on the north side. I’ve always been on the south side so thank you for taking me alone. Love your videos and kudos to your wife.
I agree with your sentiments about the North Rim and Imperial Point. Our visit to the North Rim finished off a 2 week trip to Utah in June of 2021. It was such a welcome surprise after the busy-ness of Zion and Bryce and Arches. We definitely felt the slower pace during our time there. One of my favorite memories is driving straight to Imperial Point after entering the park and enjoying a picnic lunch with amazing views--not too mention the much cooler temperatures than we had experienced elsewhere on our trip.
You should definitely share bad experiences you have at National Parks. Other than rangers who seem like they'd rather be doing anything else than their job, there are many National Parks that have basically implemented awful regulations that are completely antithetical to their principles with absolutely no recourse.
Oh, I’ve had my share in 2024! Had some great ones too. But overall, the thing that starts the bad experiences for me is the distance between sites at campgrounds. I believe privacy is a basic human desire and need, and many places disregard that by jamming sites together, often feet apart (I found Yosemite campgrounds to be among the worst offenders of this). Then, it becomes a role of the dice as to whether or not a disruptive group shows up, and if a host or ranger actually patrols and enforces the rules. I’ve seen some that do, but more that do not. And when they don’t, I am fine being the adult and asking others to keep it down, etc, and some people respond well to that, and many blow it off. But then I always ask myself, why am I the one enforcing the rules? They should be paying me! 😂On our second channel Campvue, you’ll get more critical reviews of stuff like that once we get some more content released over there.
