Love this song, one of my favorite slower songs by Epica. You should give Apocalyptica - rise again (FT Simone Simons) a try, another amazing song like this one. (Might be some copy right problems with reacting to that one)

You are correct about the diversity of metal music and Epica are more diverse than most. Well worth checking out some of their acoustic stuff which is very innovative. Yes, metal is the best and makes the best ballads. The a capella version of this song is mind blowing. I believe this song is the hairy bass player, Rob's song, although they all have some input. So yes, metal is all noise and screaming 😂

I am a fan big time of symphonic metal and I’m grateful to many other very good symphonic metal bands like Therion, Delain, Nightwish, within temptation, Leaves’ Eyes and others that were my gateway up to the incredible and already legendary Epica!! fantastic reaction you both are beautiful souls I love your channel!

Simone is incredible. Can we also get a shout out to the sound engineers / Mixers / Audio Technicians, whoever they are, that kept all of the different elements of this track so beautifully balanced (to my untrained ear anyway).

Such a beautiful song... great reaction you two!! I know several different versions of this song; the album version, a 'normal live' version, an a capella version (live at Tilburg), a live version in Chile and this one (live in Amsterdam)... they all are really great to listen to. And I agree about people saying 'metal is nothing more than loud noise...' People that think that way don't listen to music well. A lot of metal bands put so much deeper meanings and feelings in their lyrics most bands never think about. And on musical level they are really high standard. ... about good music. Did you ever heard of the band Blackbriar. You should for sure listen to them. Yes, Simone is on that same epic level, the highest achievable as a singer, as is Floor and Anneke. The premier league. Those three let you experience a "China syndrome". With other words, a total melt down.... By the way, Simone is indeed the dark angel in the video from Ayreon called "Daniels descent into Transitus".

That is absolutely a false rumor and it never ends. Simone has been to two vocal academies in the only individual in the metal world who is her vocal coach was the great Amanda Sommerville. Please stop
