I was at this concert. I remember when Epica came on and played Abyss of Time I was shocked, then Code of Life was also amazing as well as other songs. I had never heard of them or knew who they were, I added them to my playlist and they were for sure one of the highlights of the trip. Ther other opening acts didnt even compare. I felt like I was at 2 groups' concerts.
I discovered them this way, too. (I wasn't there, but through watching videos of the concert.) 'Abyss' and this song have been on loop for a while as a result.
@@jisundergroundfornow2548 this is symphonic metal with influences of death, prog, power and even black metal at times. Don't lump EPICA with your standard metal bands. They're much more than that.
@@cancelled_user To be fair Epica is still pretty relatively unknown in the US, where as Metallica are a household name. No reason to check out a live version of a song you've heard 10000 times already. I'd bet a good portion of these people are being introduced to Epica for the first time so more people are likely to check them out online.
@@Gevoltful , Metallica are musicians. I bet you haven't even listened to the stuff from And Just For All. That album buries anything EPICA has ever done.
@@franciscojavierhernandezar3282 Nightwish...who are that? Oh yeah i remember, the mainstream metal band. Lol but i appreciate ur love for the best folk metal band Eluveitie. Epica and Eluveitie are simply the best!
@@cancelled_user You missed the point that I'm pointing out. I didn't mean Simone trust me I'm a big fan of Epica and Nightwish. I meant pop singers are witches.
