@@FdViv WTF? He can't go on a hike, he can't climb a mountain, he can't ride a roller coaster, he can't even walk. Is fame all you care about? Sounds a little immature to me.
He felt abandoned after being kicked out of the maiden, he often stated that everything he made backfired or was just boycotted. He tried and he tried for a long time, eventually he was defeated by his drug and alcohol abuse. I don't feel sorry for him, but I have some compassion for the troubled man with a voice I enjoy hearing. Plus, I am also happy he overcame that scary condition that was menacing his life. Paul may not be a perfect human being, but he deserves better, both from life and from us. And I admire him for, after all his troubles, distant and recent, standing up in the stage (even in wheelchair) and sing the songs, whise copyrights he recently acquired back. Respect. 💪
His drug problem and general belligerent attitude was why Maiden dumped him as i understand it. They were just fed up. If he felt abandoned, he's not looking at the true problems, which were caused by himself. But I do hope he has some peace in his life.
@@StaticYonder You might be "right " (whatever that is ) since I feel some bias on my behalf ...having grown with the band which recorded "Killers " I was always very disappointed in that replacement ...at the time I was really disappointed in "Number of the beast " too... much of the band´s strength and spontaneity was gone . Sure, Huge commercial leap ,fancy 70s Ian Gillan school type of singing featured too ...the attitude and grime was gone for the most part though . But hey, that is how I experienced it. No more or less valid than the way you did /do...
I think it's a generation thingie. I was lost as a teen, I bought the first Maiden album because of the album cover and was blown away by the music when I dropped the needle into the vinyl. It released energy in me I had no idea was there. It rocketed me into a world of graphics, language and esoterics. My life would not have been the same without the first two Maiden albums. Bruce simply took over, but was never the thunderflash Paul was. Bruce is too studied in a way when he sings. Paul is streetcorner wise, raw power and yet emotional when the need arises. It's hard to explain, it's emotional I guess.
@@trikkke11 That is exactly what I think. Sure ...by the time "Powerslave " ( or even Piece of mind " for that matter ) was out I had got used to "another " Maiden ...still, as the years went by ,the 1st two with Paul are still the ones which have lost none of their initial impact on me. I´m still that entranced early teenager as I listen to "Ides of March " .
Ive got a real love for the Dianno era of Iron Maiden. They were a lot less theatrical and more aggressive back then, but he is just trying to cash in now. I mean, he left the band in 1981!!
@@saraivatoledo1842 I probably would. Iron Maiden were great when he was the singer. Actually I wish they would tone the theatrics and props down these days. Go for a more back to basics approach.
Last time I saw them was on the Seventh son of a seventh son tour with Helloween opening (when the latter were STILL a very decent Speed Metal band - incredible live band back then . 88 that was . One of my 1st gigs -unforgettable to the point I´ve had the chance to see them many times after (mainly at festivals ) and have always declined since I have this feeling it would had ruined the memories I have of that mid teens/ "mid size " gig in the 80s which was simply magical as you can imagine . @@chriswilkinson7636
@@normwho7 I was probably harsh and he's playing songs that Iron Maiden themselves don't play anymore. I'd probably go and see him if I got the chance actually.
Once went over West Ham with Paul Dianno and Clive Burr's drum tech, Steve (Loopy) Newhouse. That was a long time ago. I was about 20. 1975. Paul was a lot slimmer and no wheelchair and no tattoos. Great day's ❤😂🎉
Holy fook, I've just found this video in 2024 and there he is on stage "giving it large", my Punk Metal King, Paul Di'Anno. Us ol' Punk Rockers still love you, big fella, keep on rockin', you'll always be our Iron Maiden number one 😎🎸👊🏻.
Paul, i hope this reaches you, the best performance you gave was at the WILTON IN SALISBURY, there was a doctor at the show who realised you have a hearing problem, the Doctor was also a sound engineer, the "PRESCRIPTION" he wrote for the desk was this. cut everything above 140hz completely from the monitor on the side you are deaf on, cut the 140 hertz as a framework, starting with a 30 - 70 hertz 15 db boosted monitor into a single speaker capable of holding without distorting. Frequencies 71-140hertz at 8percent above production volume into seperate main monitor ON YOUR DEAF SIDE., this speaker needs to be next to the boosted 30-70 htz cabinet, 141 - 400 hertz at 5 percent boost, a seperate speaker on your good side giving main monitor study output of total sound as it can be heard correctly. you have one of the most powerful voices i ever heard, do not give up. Whoever the guy on desk was sound engineering, has a COMPLETE write up of what it took to get it right. (daryl masterton?). The Hairs in your ear are damaged, you hear on your deaf side from air pressure changes and they need to be definite. Lee The Doctor from the Wilton Pub Gig.
great albums but not the best by far. Take a lesson kids...drugs and drinking will rob you of your future and leave you hating the past. Love you Paul, take care and keep fighting. UP THE IRONS 🤘
We had him one time on a festival. Never had such a S.M.F on stage... the year after we had blaze baley.. now that is a great guy, with no arrogance because he thanked the public for coming to see him, and aftershave everything he sat with us and togheter we had a super time....
THE VOCALS ARE NO GOOD ANYMORE.😡WHY? I AM A SINGER AND KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.AGING IS THE WORST THING.I AM EXPERIENCING MYSELF.LET THE YOUNG TAKE THE FLAG.🤔
@@lukanovak1492 No, I left him out on purpose, he hasn't aged well. He's doing very well despite his age, but Painkiller is a painful listen these days. Ripper does that one better for sure
@@StaticYonder I dont agree at all! He is still awesome and even Painkiller live is incredible (the sound doesnt translate well through camera but when you're actually there its amazing)

Dont judge man. Karma is a bitch wether is you or someone you love. Is not about feeling sorry, like some dumbass feeling sorry for James crying for his alcoholism problems with $320 M. But at least understand well what he has gone through, is not about only judging him.
