Epidote and Quartz crystals mineral specimen from Kimmeria in Xanthi Macedonia Greece 

A wonderful example of Epidote crystals and terminated Quartz crystals on host rock. The Epidote crystals have a glassy luster. Most Epidote specimens that are extracted from this locality are below average and damaged. It has been reported that this occurs due to the fact that during the heavy winter, water runs through the cracks on the host rock, which freezes when temperature is below zero, thus damaging the crystals. This crystal specimen is among the better quality specimens.
