Just a heads up. Sweetwater has an exclusive of this in cherry burst with no cutaway and they have also released Inspired by Gibson similar to the masterbilts
Fantastic review, I really enjoyed it! I really love those Epiphones without the cutaway. Unfortunately yes those are all laminate and the new ones with the cutaway are solid spruce top. I have a 2009 EJ200 Elvis Presley model and I love it. Been having it for 11 years and I tell you through time those guitars sound amazing! Very boomy and loud.
Not entirely correct - there are solid top models without the cutaway (EJ 200 V/S) I had an earlier Korea made one with the smaller headstock and they were made later in Indonesia (I think). The real deal is the new 'inspired by Gibson' range that uses all solid wood construction.
At least one has the correct guitar There are many who have it, this part looks like a broken one, I think it's very ugly but This one of yours is the real officer.😎🤙
Hello my friend,i use D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light 12-53 strings,your ej-200 made in Korea it's a wonder's guitar :),keep it for the rest of your life because I think this model(ej 200) it is the most valuable guitar in the history.I think tha sound it's very close tha Gibson j 200 but the price difference is very big,sorry for my english...
Hi Guys, I also have a 1997 EJ200B from Saminck , I found it in the TRASH! I just brought it to Guitar Center to have it re-strung, get some upgrades like new pins & now I have to lean to play the damn thing. Also I found a Luna [UKE TC MAH] W/ CASE. If I really look through the pile I am sure I would have found a electric, but I was rushing. I have no intention of getting rid of this guitar any time soon! Stay Safe.

@@freddysnip6257 Well, youtube actually. I know it is not the same as playing the guitars yourself but i judge only by good sound quality videos, on a decent quality speaker system. And having already personal playing experience of what all solid, solid top and all laminate guitars should sound like. Anyway, one can judge for himself, plenty of videos around.
@@theo9952 Thanks Theo was just wondering myself, hence my question. Did you allready check out the EJ200 inspired by Gibson then? It is all solid wood, and sounded great on my system. My EJ 200 CE with solid top was not bad either. Anyways I ordered it, and I will receive it tommorrow. I have my experience with solid high end guitars too, Gibson J-200 and Martin D35 and an Eastman AC630.

My guitars are a Guild JF55 six string, which is a top notch Jumbo of cource, a 12string CJ Cort (Korean made) with solid top and laminate maple back and sides, which I currently use as a 6 string and it is definitely the loudest acoustic guitar I have ever played, an acoustic-electric dreadnought Seagull (solid cedar top) which sounds excellent through a PA and a baritone all solid Thunderhawk Tacoma. I used to have an all laminate made in Japan in the late 70s, J200 replica, with the name Gerley on the headstock, which I gave to my brother when I bought the Guild. Nice guitar but it did not sound as good as this one on the video. Kind of harsh-sounding in comparison. There are several videos of the Inspired by Gibson Epiphone, some better than others. Comparing it with the Gibson j200 itself, the difference is quite evident i think.
@@theo9952 Nice guitars Theo. And yes the comparison is allready made by Gibson and Epiphone owners alike. Some of the Gibson owner allready label it as crap without playing one first. Guess their little biased corksniffers. Epipiphone owners are praising the guitar. I bet the Gibson is better, but the Gibson version is like € 5999, and the Epiphone is € 939. From what I've gathered is that the only difference is that Gibson selecs +++A woods, and that the Epiphone is made of +A woods. And most people can not hear the difference. Of course it will sound different to the Gibson, but that is I think a good thing. Basically you get a lot of guitar for your money. My Epiphone EJ CE was allready amazing with just a solid top. But I sold it recently because I don't want too many guitars in my collection. Edit: I had a Gibson J-200 , but I was underwhelmed by it regarding the pricetag and volume/projection, so I did return it.
