Bifurcation leading to synthesis, leading to bifurcation and so on. The push-pull of Aristotle? What about this: The ideal human is open at one end to knowledge incoming and the other end is open to sending out good works, the golden rule. In this way the human is a conduit for power IF and only if the ego is subdued by tweaking the identity slightly to reflect a more responsible and caring persona, like that of steward instead of "I". The ego can act as a pinch point in this picture of a conduit with energy flowing thru it. The freedom comes in as allowing the river to flow, and since we can never step in the same river twice, allow this flow in the patterns of the thinking, with just enough repetition to maintain cohesiveness in order to do good works. Awesome video, thanks!!

I was raised libertarian myself.. I now wonder if the phrase Life, Liberty and Property are just values and not fundamental thruths about human nature. Some people dont value their own life or others. Ofcourse most people would agree they'd want to live and claim our own instincts as evidence for such thruth. That the right to life is fundamental and an absolute. But this is not the case for people struggling. There are people who convince themself life aint worth living, on the edge of suicide and then later only to figure their suicide plans were totally unreasonable. In other words, life had no "Value". But now it has "Value".

Kind of makes sense: we are all "in context." Maybe we could try to be kinder to ourselves -- and others -- since some things are truly out of our control. The year we were born, our parents, our ancestry, our birthplace, our childhood community, our physical appearance, etc.--all givens.

Kind of like turning our heads and looking the other way, while child workers and vastly under paid and mistreated workers, make our devices and clothing ! I totally get it ! This is perfect !

I think that all major ideas like socialism, capitalism, feudalism etc are valid since they work at the family level very well. When these valid ideas are applied at larger (too large imo) group levels, nothing seems to work for all that long. I guess in the Hegelian view the necessary bifurcation leading to synthesis (and repeating) happens in small groups or in individuals more readily than large groups. Just my thoughts though.

Total self knowledge, part of the process, relax, breath, everything is going to be okay. One does not need large sums of money to be free, if one is free within one's own mind. I wish I had a faster synthesis response. For example, I recently decided to take a zero tolerance for abuse approach to life, and I'm finding out that leads to poverty. Maybe instead I should take a more moderate stance, and instead engage the person to probe why they have been abusive in the first place. I will give that a try. My emotions always get super hurt, and I use that to justify walking away. I feel like this is a very bad approach to life, because it leads to isolation, and isolation is the dream killer. Tolerance, and the accepting of abuse is key, for without it, there can be no discussion or dialogue to try and convince the person otherwise. That said, any time I have a problem with someone I ask myself, "Is this person dumb or evil?" I don't even waste my time on the dumb ones. Maybe I should, but I've come to realization that the cost benefit analysis of trying to fix stupid just isn't worth the time investment.

When you leave you are free... that’s the only context for freedom, all other references to freedom are nonsense
