😂You had me laughing at “suicidal rooster” and then I just about died at “I almost killed another rooster.” Another one?? 🤣 Laughing so hard already. Love to you both. You’re keeping me from going stir crazy until my CT finish. Stay safe! Love Tif
“Of course it’s hard, it’s supposed to be hard. If it was easy, everyone would do it. Hard is what makes it great.” -A League of Their Own. I know that the two of you will get into your groove and just nail this challenge. Safe travels ladies. ❤️
Thank goodness it was a suicidal rooster and not a moose Annette. What a great start to your adventure you two have managed and it's only day two. Sit back folks this is gonna' be fun journey and we don't even have to peddle.
OK, so love that you camped alongside the trail and made the best of all of it. I always say, you’re never lost, just a bit “off trail”!! I am so happy that you have started and look forward to watching you cross the US!! I live in RI and the Atlantic Ocean is right here!! 😊
From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for taking us along on another great adventure of yours. It is much appreciated. You always make me laugh until I cry.. how many women come across a "suicidal rooster"???!! Prayers and good vibes for a safe journey. I agree with you... like to keep hydrated.
There really is no way to say how inspiring you ladies are to us of a certain age. You make me want to get out and find my wild... making a plan now... have no idea but totally going to get started on my plan. Safe and fun journey.
Great video and the presence to laugh among the diversities! You are awesome! We are so appreciative for taking us along and filming another view of our beautiful country! Safe travels and thank you! ❤️👍🙂
Congratulations on the start of another amazing adventure .❤️ hoping you have the best times . Looks like you have already started 🤣🤣 love , love your attitudes. Thankyou for sharing❤️🇨🇦
Love this. Your positivity is so infectious. that poor suicidal rooster! Goodness, I was laughing so hard. Camping in the woods in Bend and I am sure the people next to me are wondering what in the world.
So great to see you folks out on another adventure! Thanks for taking us along. I love your laughter and positivity. Enjoy your trip. I am looking forward to seeing all of your adventures.
Wow. What a wild start. I loved it when you dipped your tires in the Pacific. I felt bad but I was also laughing that you took the wrong trail. I know that was crazy hard. A 🐓. Thats just so funny. La push , Forks and the Hoh Rain Forrest are the most beautiful places I've ever been. Cant wait for next video. Be safe.
Y’all will figure it out. The first days of bikepacking is hard. I wish I could be there to help y’all along. I will be thinking of you both on my long mtn bike ride today.
in my experience, the first two weeks on a long bike tour are the hardest. it gets easier from there... you get stronger and your body accepts and adapts to the hardships of riding all day. So stoked for you! Enjoy the adventure, as I know you will!!!
PCT hiker Nuthin' But Time (NBT) here. I live in Silverdale, WA and we have plenty room if you need some dry lodging, laundry, etc. before heading to either Bainbridge Island or Bremerton ferries to Seattle. FYI.
Love, love this video!! You two are really lucky to have each other; most times it's difficult to find others that are interested in the same things you are. All my best!
I found you ladies scouring for cycling the Empire Trail in NY. Your videos are so humorous that I started checking all your cycling vids and here we are. It's amazing to see how you started especially since you are flying on the Empire State Trail, easily doing 70+ mile days.
Of course it’s raining. You are in rain forest country. Olympic peninsula gets about 200 inches of rain a year. Reason it is so lush and beautiful. Good luck on your adventure.
You’re in my state (WA). We’ve had a very wet Spring but nice and cool and will help delay the summer heat and potential drought like we’ve experienced in the past. You two look good on your bikes. Going through Olympic NP is gorgeous. So exciting that you’ve finally started!
Just found your channel and this series. You ladies are just awesome. Watching an episode or two daily. Your video skills are really superb. Your dedication, determination and humor are a real joy to watch. Thanks for sharing this fabulous experience.
Sorry about the rain but I still love the PNW & Olympic Nat’l Park. So fun to see you biking my stomping grounds. Be safe and a million thanks for sharing your journey!
Good luck! I grew up in the area, it’s moist and beautiful. Having ridden long distance, it’s a fabulous way to travel. I wish you all the good experiences we had and more.
1998, when I was 58 years old and my friend was 49, we flew from Seattle to Portland, Maine, dipped our bikes in the ocean and rode back to Anacortes, Washington. Took us two months to the day and we rode 3600 miles. I wrote and self-published a small book called Grandmas Across America. We had our bikes loaded with camping gear too, and when I got home and took the panniers off I felt like I was riding a bucking bronco it was so lightweight.
Yay 🎉🎊🎉🎊 let the adventure begin. It's been such a beautiful ride so far 😍 just take your time and don't push yourself to hard. This is going to be alot of fun. From getting lost to suicidal roosters 🐓 this is interesting already 🤣 but be careful out there and we're cheering on from Oregon. Take care my beautiful friends ❤
As a senior hiker and cyclist I am looking forward to seeing this new adventure. Hope one of you have a cycling gps (Garmin, Hammerhead, etc) to guide and track your performance. Good luck and stay safe!
You ladies are amazing!! All that it took to ship your bikes and fly out to WA! Then assembling your bikes and the rain, but you just kept at it! Your legs should get stronger with time. I biked across Wisconsin, my home state, 400+ miles in 6 days. I trained up for 5 weeks before hand which was helpful, and I was with a cycling group. Your bike trail was so nice, with quaint wooden bridges and lovely wooded sections. Take your time and enjoy. This is a great adventure that you're on. Will look forward to your next video. This is so exciting!
If the tape doesn't hold, you can get a tent pole splint at most outdoor gear shops (if there are any nearby!). The splint will last basically forever if you need it to. Best wishes as you get your biking trail legs!
Wow! Just wow! I've so been looking forward to the start of your trip and it's finally begun. The trail so far is spectacularly beautiful. You guys have an incredible grit to work through problems as they come. You've earned the moniker Bike Master's.
HOW exciting this is going to be such an awesome adventure..I refurbished my mountain bike last spring, and it took soooo long to tune in the derailleur, one little screw turn at a time. Break a Leg!
Greetings from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state! Welcome to the PNW! The coast is absolutely fabulous! Love Lake Crescent! I've stayed at the lodge. Theres a trail head off the parking lot that leads to a mile walk to Marymere Falls. I've done that hike to the falls so many times that I've lost count! I was in tears by the time that you got to Port Angeles! I live 20 minutes from there in Sequim off Old Olympic Highway. Ride on! Love you both!!!! 💛💛💛
Yay! Welcome to Washington 😄 We hiked the Spruce Railroad Trail Wednesday, all we could talk about was your arrival. Way to go, my husband and I are following along.
Worse rain and cold in years. Too bad you couldn't take PT Townsend ferry. And for sure that road up off 101 to PT has no buffer zone what so ever. Every once in a while an electric back up sounds good. Is that cheating? Congrats on every accomplishment! Looking forward to following your trip. I have hurt the back of my knee recently and can not even pedal my exercise bike. People like you make my day, so pedal on and THXS so much.
OMG! You are right here in Port Angeles! I am camping at Heart O Hills campground in Olympic NP. I am road tripping from north Texas. And yes this rainy, cold weather doesn't make things easy when you're outside 100%. Wish I had known, I would have made a trip to the KOA. Yall take care and have fun!
Wow. So glad I found you ladies. Everything comes in threes doesn’t it. I’m still laughing a Annette about bicep twitching 😂 Be safe that’s all that counts !!
So fun to see you enjoying what life beings you on your adventure. Looking forward to more from you. Seattle is close, hope we can connect. I know a good place for rest and warmth here in Seattle! Give me a holler when you’re close if I can offer up support. Cheers!
@@demelar good idea. It seems I never travel without duct tape too Taped the corner of a rental car bumper back in place in Kenya one year. We were on back roads with lots of washouts. These guys driving were crazy. It was banging and hitting hard. I knew where the duct tape was. I could not believe it when they commented that they had not been rough with the car. That was a crazy ride, I’d love to tell you the whole story sometime.
YYYYYEEEEAAAAHHH!!!!!!!! Way to go Lassies so excited to have a new adventure to tag along with you guys! Glad everything arrived in one peace and that was so special to get that blessing before you left. You will be brilliant as always. Enjoy and will tag along if that's OK? 😘🚴♀️🚴
On your way and we get to come along on another great adventure. Thank you. The trail looks wonderful so far. I loved biking thru the woods. As usual, you take a bad situation and make the best of it. I continue to be amazed at your wonderful attitudes. What an adventure!!!!!!!! Take care, be safe.
