The Appalachia Regional Comprehensive Center kicked off this series on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 with a webinar featuring math coach Joanna Burt-Kinderman and math teacher Jennifer Nail, both of Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Burt-Kinderman and Nail, along with district superintendent Terrence Beam, discussed what inspired the math program, the principles underlying its approach, and the remarkable instructional improvements and student achievement growth made possible by its implementation.
