After all, if you choose to avoid situations that make you anxious, you only strengthen anxiety’s ability to control you. If you choose to avoid opportunities that trigger self-doubt, you only strengthen that self-doubt. Do you want to avoid things that give your life meaning or do you want to feel discomfort while you do them?

Venturing out on your own can be terrifying, but it's so fun to find out what life looks like when it's all in your hands. Excited to see more of your adventures! Cities aren't very walkable where I live so I'm living vicariously through you. When you're ready to strike out on your own, I'm sure you'll find the perfect city with an adorable neighborhood and cute grocery shop just around the corner. And we will all be rooting for you along the way.

So impressed with the difference from your first solo trip to now! For future reference, ask reception for things like the missing bath plug and they should be able to help you. Also, every hotel room needs a kitchen! 😍

As someone who didn't have a bath plug all throughout college, here's my tip! You had the right idea with the jar but to make sure there's suction, I would always get a paper towel, fold it over (so it's stronger) and place it between the drain and a heavier object (like your jar). Voila! Impromptu bath plug. Just make sure it's a sturdy-ish paper towel and not tissues or tp because you don't want any of it to accidentally go down the drain!

I moved to London 3 years ago and it was the best decision I've ever made! I was an anxious mess when I first came but my confidence has grown so much. There are a lot of calm, nice areas that would suit you well I think :)

Hey Grace! I live in Balham south London, and I think you should definitely check the area out, there are some fab cafes and bakeries. I recommend milk; they have such good laminations and a great selection of house made chutneys and sweet spreads. The cafe Apple blue have amazing pastries and the blackbird and brickwood bakeries are so good too! The are a lot of Aussies and kiwis around Balham so that influences the cafe and restaurant scene in the area!

Sometimes there is a lever to work the drain on that type of bath, you should ask at the front desk cause a good soak is always necessary on vacay!

I really want to spend a day in London, but I have no one to spend the day with- my only issue is using a wheelchair- not really an issue because it's flat in London there's mountains where I am. I've been getting a lil explorative with RU-vidrs lately and am trying to search out a lot of new people, however, it's just made me realise how much Grace's content means to me Although i officially only have anxiety/depression, everyone, mental health professionals included think it's a misdiagnosis and it is actually something like autism, so i get super overwhelmed really easily, and things just seem to be a lot harsher to my senses than most. But this is what i love about Grace's content, when i feel overwhelmed from all the shouting, loud talking/noises, and intense editing that other RU-vidrs have, i know i can always rely on Grace to just be a chilled, relaxed, calming, sorta sensory reset. It's just such a peaceful vibe and always makes me feel cosy and refreshed haha

I feel you so much on the tub situation! 😩 I'll always pay extra to get a room with a tub cause I'm obsessed with baths and last time I stayed in a hotel the plug was too small for the drain, so all the water kept seeping out. Soo disappointiiiing!

If you find yourself desperate for a bath in a tub with no stopper, a thin, flexible plastic bag or piece of cling film will usually do the trick. Just place it over the drain - the tub will still drain slowly as water seeps under the plastic, but the tub will fill. The water trying to get down the drain kind of presses the cling film in place preventing the water from getting out. It's a bit fiddly but it's the only way I can take a bath if I visit my mom. It's so good to see you facing your fears! Proud of you, and so glad to be able to watch your journey. 💜

I live in London and have no friends here (no one likes me lol) and I decided to start doing things by myself instead of feeling sorry for myself at home, I went to hairspray last week on the Westend, then I went to the cinema and out for dinner at the wkend, tomorrow im going to the natural history museum. and next week I am going to see the graham Norton show being filmed!!

When I was backpacking around Europe I was told to bring a large-ish rubber ball to use as a drain stopper
