I'm not blind but I have learned it's important to know Keyboard geography and learn to "feel" my way around the piano when I'm playing. Love your music Gordon!❤❤❤ you're the best!
I love you man. I love Tom Bukovac and one of the coolest things he turned me on to was you. I love your music and your spirit. God bless you man. You've sure been a blessing to me. Thanks
Gordon, in your humility you speak of the talent in Nashville ( in this town) where we know you are one of those great talents, and your anointing is immense. Thank you for sharing your gift.
I laughed out loud a number of times during this laying down of 'the funk'. Your note choice and prowess are what brings the joy. Appreciate the video. God bless you Brother Gordon.
Gordon, you are a blessing to all our ears! Thank you for putting your faith out front for all to hear 🙏🏻. My suggestion is for you to sing 🎤 more often. You have a beautiful “god given” voice and I love and could listen to you sing and play all day and night! Love your gift of music man🎹
I just love listening to you play Gordan. You are an inspiration! God love you brother! You and Uncle Larry need to put sometging together!!!! We would love to hear that!! Trust me
Hey Gordon. I am a pretty good piano player, but not NEARLY as good as you, Sir! I recently contracted a disease which has caused me to start to go blind. I learned to play from my great-grandmother. My 3 kids seem to have the ability as well. I can't read music like you..., but totally by ear. I think that's the best way. Be well. I'd like to know you. We will certainly be acquainted in Heaven. You have a great ministry.
Hey Bro. Gordon! God bless you, and thank you for taking the time to share with us the things God has shared with you! You have a wonderful spirit that ministers to us. It underlies everything you say and do. Your peaceful spirit is soothing during a time of chaos. Anyway, how about some Hammond B3! Tell us a little about how your technician got it to sound the way you like it. I'd love to be able to get a better sound out of my B2! Thank you brother, and may the Lord richly bless your ministry and family!
Do you think about breath when you play? This in terms of being lyrical in the way singers and wind instrument players are. Thanks for being the best Gordon Mote out there.
Hey Gordon! Thank you so much for these videos. They are very helpful and inspiring. They make me practice even more everytime you upload one haha. I think as far as production goes this is more than enough. More important than number of cameras and quality of editing are messages and stories you selflessly share with us. Thank you one more time for that! I hope you will continue with this series in the future. Peace!
Best episode yet. Great playin'. I'll bet that piano is happy your playing it again! What a great room you have to play in. And the camera view was perfect. Have a great weekend Gordon! Peace!
I’m definitely hooked on these episodes! Have you considered bringing other session musicians on to a couple of episodes to interview and talk about session work?
Man - that's some tasty playing Gordon! So much soul! Curious if you ever listened to Dave Grusin and the soundtrack to "The Firm"? Your playing style, voicings and great feel have certain similarities. Thanks so much for sharing your considerable talents and good sense of humour.
Would love to hear your version of Georgia porcupine if you have ever heard it, old song!. I have my own version but not as good as I know you would play it.lol.
no matter what your faith, or non faith for that matter- Hope for the world! - when the the world as a whole is ailing as it is couldn't be more succinct. to quote Curtis Mayfield "Bight your lip, and take a trip Though there may be wet road ahead And you cannot slip So move on up for peace will find Into the steeple of beautiful people Where there's only one kind
Gordon although I do not play piano, I wanted to know if you ever get in a rut and if so how do you get out of it? I play guitar and like most amateurs we play what we play and at some point you hit the wall, or at least I do. What is your opinion?
Hello Gordon, I’ve been wondering if you tune your own piano? With such good pitch, I imagine you’re tempted to bring a tuning wrench with you to sessions.
That camera shot over your shoulder around 2:24 where you can see the reflection of your hands is stellar! Spectacular playing and kudos to the camera person.
