I find it very strange that not a soul on these shows understand that game show earnings are taxable as 'personal income'! A million dollars will quickly turn into $550,000 (ish) because of federal and California taxes. Constantly hear the term "life changing money". If a 30 yo winner lives another 50 years they have only $11K per year from a million dollars after taxes. That's hardly life-changing!That's hardly life-changing!
