Duffel is an obvious French language word. 4. Long walk to freedom: only one obvious answer there. The producers of these shows can most definitely research the contestants' backgrounds and determine what level of difficulty list of questions they want to give a contestant. The show knows that this lady's demographic is the highest % of watchers of their show. So they give her an easier set of questions because it will increase their ratings. The contestant that got caught cheating had a much more difficult set of questions.

That is because if you dont know the answer you will randomly pick one that is not totally absurd. If you know the answer you take the right one of course. So the guesses divides between all plausible answers equally with a bonus on the right answer from those who knew it. If you as the player guess something wrong, it is possible that it will divide not equally but stronger on your wrong guess. Maybe so strong that it is higher for the wrong, than for the right answer. My english is not very good, hopefully you get my point^^
