Welcome to "D&M's with Dean," where we dive deep into meaningful conversations with some of the most intriguing personalities. In this episode, we're joined by the enigmatic Cody Adams, a figure who has recently taken social media by storm with his bold and controversial stances on health and fitness. Cody’s unfiltered messaging and unapologetic delivery have sparked intense discussions, drawing both passionate supporters and vocal critics.
Despite the backlash, it’s clear that the hate comments have only fueled Cody’s rise, pushing his platforms to new heights. But beneath the controversy lies a powerful core message: the importance of self-improvement and taking charge of your health. Cody’s approach may be polarizing, but it undeniably gets people talking and thinking about their own fitness journeys.
In this episode, we don’t shy away from the tough conversations. While Cody and I don’t see eye to eye on everything, our debates are always respectful and enlightening. Tune in to hear a lively exchange of ideas, where we challenge each other’s views and, ultimately, find common ground in our shared goal of motivating people to better themselves in every aspect of their lives. Whether you love him or hate him, Cody Adams is becoming a well-known name in the fitness world, and this episode promises to be both thought-provoking and inspiring.

Dean - week over week (wow) your interviews improve 10 fold. Gotta love Cody! Speak your mind people that get upset are upset with themselves because they can’t do it. I have no problem speaking my mind, the issue is so many people are weak minded. How arrogant are people that they think they will never hear an opinion that differs for their own.

This is a fascinating portrait of a highly addictive personality who has concluded (perhaps not incorrectly) that the only way for him to not end up a drug-addled alcoholic basketcase is to become addicted to something else: exercise and sobriety. There is nothing wrong with this, and power to him. But as this podcast interview demonstrates, Cody is also addicted to something else: being a guru. And he is clearly getting WAY too much fuel from the attention that comes with that to stop. In fact, this whole podcast seems to consist of the very patient interviewer trying to get Cody to admit that he is not a guru, that he doesn't know what's best for everyone else, and that he should stop trying to be one. But Cody's responses leave very little doubt that he is completely hooked on it and has no interest in kicking the habit anytime soon. It's like trying to tell a heroin addict to get off the gear. They simply. Will. Not. Do it. A lot of haters on Insta are probably hoping that what happened the other day with Cody's Insta post about domestic violence will be his downfall. But I fear it's going to be but one plot point on a very messy chart, because Cody appears incapable of considering alternative points of view, and his single focus gospel can really only lead him to alienating everyone, losing his following, and then turning to something else to get addicted to.

Really like the time you put into this message. I heard a quote the other day that I think works well here “yesterday I was smart, so I try to change the world, today I am wise, so I try and change myself”

@@DMs.withDEAN Totally. I don't think this guru phenomenon is particularly new, but social media has turned it into an epidemic of biblical proportions. The weird part is that Gen Z is doing it to themselves. So many of them seem to want to tell each other what to do all the time, it's exhausting. Why not just shut the fuck up for a bit? Socrates said "Wisdom is to know that you do not know", after all.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The way he talks about gaining follows and views clearly shows his motive for doing all of this. Sounds like a comes from a place of wanting to excel at something. Looks like an incessant need to be special or better than average. Why else would you mention that you want your name to be a household name????
