Species 30 Finally Added to my Winter League List! On the 4th time of trying I got a Weever! Lots of Mackerel and Whiting were also caught, along with a Big Flounder! All in all a great Session!

@@LRFandHRF Bloody hating it at time, like being stood for hours at haldon in the cold, failing to get a LSG, but it keeps dragging me out to try again lol. Just want to hit my target of 15 then ill be happy.

That's what it's all about, giving you a reason to go back out. I've heard of many attempts for one there and many fails. Wouldn't be surprised if they've been killed off

Thanks Dan, another great video. Had an "interesting" experience with a Weever, out on a charter boat with some mates, plus a wife who hadn't fiashed before, then there was a load of experienced anglers hitting the deck as she waved the weever around on the end of the line, at least, untill the skipper belowed at her to put the rod down with the fish over the side, all part of life's rich tapestry 😂

Haha. Thanks Alan. People seem to treat them like live hand grenades don't they. Will do anything to dive away from one. I've been stung twice and it's not that bad. Will avoid it in future but thought it would have been worse.

@@LRFandHRF none of us knew how poisonous they were back then and, we weren't taking any chances 😱😂 I have since been told it is something akin to a Wasp/Hornet sting, not really keen on finding it 🤣🤣

Yeah. I'd say wasp sting times ten. I squeezed the vemon out both times which I think helped
