Great panel discussion! My favorite year was 1974, Band On the Run’s success on the charts, george’s Dark Horse, Ringo’s Goodnight Vienna; John’s Walls And Bridges, George’s Tour and McGear!!!
Ken makes such a great point when he asks why Paul couldn't put the nine songs from the double album version of "Red Rose Speedway" on a different album. The Mess was a B side that same year and same with Country Dreamer. But the other 7 songs are so great they could have been on a separate album in 74. I would nominate 1971 as one of the best Post Beatles years because you have two Paul albums. Ram is the first album where he is playing with other musicians and then the Wildlife Debut album for Wings which is so underrated. Imagine by John is a masterpiece. George does the Concert for Bangladesh and releases it as a triple live album and it goes to #1 then you have It Don't Come Easy by Ringo which truly is the best Ringo song with Photograph close behind. So awesome to see all 5 TMT hosts together.
Wings commenced their first UK tour of May 1973, and I would love to have a Blu-ray release of those concerts. Have seen some very good footage on RU-vid.
