When you said, "If she doesn't like it, it's okay. She'll just give it back to me." I love that. When you have people who are honest with you about what makes they like, it's so helpful to actually make them things they like. And sometimes you get to wear another hat!
Another most enjoyable podcast thanks Stephanie! I love ALL your finished projects and ALL the wips too. I really appreciate that you share all the details of each project both here and on Ravelry.
I’m so enjoying your podcast, so much that I have gone back to the beginning to watch them from the start! Keep up the good work! I love your knitting, and I love the bits of baking and reading as well, a little bit of everything! And the beginning montage is a genius way of showing lots of things in the podcast in a fun way. Also, the seasons of your knitting are similar to ours, being in Alberta Canada; having spent a tiny bit of time in Minnesota. I know how cold it can be!
I also really like your vest Stephanie. My favourite however, is the new Ranunculus, the colour is so soft and the fibre too. It already looks nice when you hold it up against yourself.
Hanging out with you when I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night was lovely. 😂 I've been here long enough that Apple Cider Caramels are a familiar seasonal marker! ❤❤❤
Thank you for another lovely episode! I was knitting on my BBD slipover inspired by your grey one while I watched. 😊 I definitely agree with you on Patons Kroy being more of a sport weight (but being the loose knitter that I am, I still knit it on US1s. I think I may need to cast in the classic ribbed hat soon because my mom has been hinting that she would like another hat for Christmas. Can’t wait to see what you get up to next! Talk soon. ❤Mia
Hi Mia!!! YAY!!! We'll be twinning!!!! I kinda want to cast on another pair of Patons Kroy socks (I have some of that gray and white twist yarn...can't remember the name...probably Grey Marl or something like that??) but I also want to cast on another pair of self-striping socks...maybe I'll cast on both.... ha! Take care and talk soon friend❤️
Love this episode, Stephanie. If you decide to knit the Building Blocks Drop sweater using two strands of Linen Quill held together as mentioned, what about using two different colors of Linen Quill instead of two strands of the same color? You could do a tone-on-tone like Juniper Green + Fresh Pickle, or a contrast like Chestnut Red + Dark Iris. I doubt you'd want a neon combo, but since neons are popular now, there's Super Orange + Pink Pop. Endless possibilities with over 50 colors of Linen Quill.
OMGosh, those caramels! Want, want, want. In a swap, looonnng agooo, my partner made me some homemade caramels. They were off the chain! We had tried Trader Joe's Apple Cider donuts and they were so good. I was bummed that they only sold them in October (it seems). Great FOs, great WIPs. I like that you're knitting a red hat. I so want one. One knitting sewist I follow always sports her red beanie.
As always, I just enjoy your episodes so much! I was having a bit of a “meh” morning and see your new episode and instantly felt more cheerful with you keeping me company as I fold laundry 🧺 Love seeing all your projects - I really like the color of your Ranunculus, it’s so pretty! Your Patons kroy socks look great - that is one of my favorite colorways but your socks look so good in the patterning!
Thank you so much for spending some time with me - I'm so glad to have cheered you up a little. I was feeling a little meh the other day too and connecting with people's kind comments lifted my spirits. Take care ❤️
Ooooh! My sis and I were just talking about making caramels. We make an herbal blend but I really want to try the apple cider. That sounds so nice! 😅an aside, I almost went to check my laundry. Real life 😊
OoOoOo HERBAL CARAMELS?!?!!? That sounds lovely!!! Haha, I think the washing machine sang it's little tune in another episode and I was thinking, "hmmmm I wonder if anyone hears that and has the same washing machine...." Yes to being real people with real lives!! Sending love❤️❤️❤️
Hi Stephanie - another wonderful video - thank you! It always makes my day when I see you have put another episode up. Could I just ask how many stitches you cast on for the lovely leg warmers? They are so lovely and you have inspired me to make some for my granddaughter. Thank you again Stephanie for everything you do for the knitting community 💖
Thank you for this another yet great content!! Now, I’m going to make the apple cider caramel, I have her cookbook and never knew the recipe was there, thank you!! I also cast on the classic rib hat for me😊, have some Cashmere merino bloom in stash! I have a question, the project marker that you changed the claw with, do you mind telling me where you got the replacement claws? I like those, I’ve seen them from you, but couldn’t find them and don’t know what its called so I can search😊. Thank you soooo much, i have really enjoyed watching your channel and learned a whole lot of tricks!! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! What color is your hat??? Search for "round leverback." I haven't been able to find the circular ones at Michaels or Joann's (they have some that are more of an asymmetrical shape but still lever back hinge). Technically they're classified as a "jewelry finding" so you'll find them in the jewelry or earring section. I would recommend searching Etsy and/or Amazon for "round lever back" (I can't find where I originally bought mine from). Hope that helps! Thank you again!! ❤️
@@EdibleThoughtsMakes Good morning!! I found the round lever back finding at Amazon, let’s see. 50 pieces for $7.99 and supposedly stainless steel, will let you know when I get them. The hat color, tag was lost because it was an old stash and wound them a while ago, but its like an evergreen color. I’ll post that on insta and my Ravelry page when done. Thanks again!!
I love spinach!! So many ways to use! I too just returned audiobook (half way thru, 4 hrs…) due to, well, really stupid. Not even “eye-roll” level. Most times I will muddle thru, but ugh, this one was awful. Anywhoo, almost finished w DK “My Secret Top”, Jessie Maed. I’ve quite a bit of DK sw in various colors, next will be a tank/camisole style, to wear in summer, but under a button-up. I’ve got my seasons backwards!!! lol Hmmm, maybe I’ll make a Purl Soho ribbed hat w my DK of many colors!!! FOMO, don’t ya know … haha… I like the rhythm I get into w a 1x1 rib!! And..pick up, set down anytime/place! Thanks for all the inspiration!! Ranunculus is STILL waiting to be made! I’ve got time-it’s still “winter”, what with my “upside down” seasonal projects…ahem 😅
Awww, thanks! I’m usually the “day late, dollar short” kind of “planner”…lol Ummm, “plan” is either used very lightly or not at all! haha But I love your outlook! Thank you! Silver lining, right?!
Just knitting up my first Purl Soho ribbed hat and was wondering when I should start with the crown in hopes of using my entire skein of yarn. Around 17grams, got it! Thank you!!
