This might be my favorite episode. His musical trajectory is really interesting and further validates the Jazz/Death metal kinship that we all feel but can't quite quantify.
I absolutely love the Cali death theme at the beginning of these hahah. Gives me so much serotonin. Keep this podcast up guys, it is absolutely amazing for the metal community 🔥🔥
Vaughn, Allentown represent. West End Music, the owner Dave must have made the phone call. He was awesome even in the late 80s. Keep up the great job guys. Great show.
It was so nice to hear you guys chat about Shakti and John McLaughlin. I saw Shakti in London on 27th of June. To say it was incredible would be an understatement. All of those guys operate at the highest level. They are like real life musical superheroes! I am looking forward to hearing the new material with Vaughn on it 🙂
PACOOOO. Yall should check out the players from a neighborhood in madrid called cano roto. It's the closest thing to a "tech" flamenco scene. Guys like Anton Jimenez, Jesus de Rosario, Jeronimo Maya, David Cerreduela etc.
i can relate to this my father was drummer of funk band earth brothers and i am death metal guitarist so we had afew jams and my father loves and respects the drums and music but is not a fan of the vocals lol\m/
