Delgosha Garden is one of the historic gardens in Shiraz, located near the tomb of the poet Saadi. The garden's history of prosperity dates back to the pre-Islamic era, during the reign of the Sassanids.
Under Timur, also known as Tamerlane, Delgosha Garden reached its zenith. It is said that Timur, so impressed by its beauty, established a garden of the same name in Samarkand. During the Safavid era, the garden was renowned, frequently mentioned in the writings and paintings of European travelers of that time.
From the period of Nader Shah to the Zand dynasty, the garden suffered significant damage but was restored during the reign of Karim Khan Zand. Today, the garden features buildings from the Qajar period.
