Michael . . . this is likely a rhetorical comment for you . . . but here goes. I have worked with and counseled about five generations of xc runners in high school. As I stayed close with these kids over the years, there was a very consistent comment that came from all of them. It was always something like this . . . "The ups and downs in xc training and meets . . . the learning to push through hard things . . . was a great training ground for me to learn to push through such things in my young adult and adult life . . . I learned so much about myself . . . I am ahead of my peer group because of my xc experiences." Michael. I am impressed with your humility. I am certain your parents are so proud of your growth and your best efforts. Love your family. Here is an interesting stat; when you leave your mom and dad's home to go on to your next journey, you will have spent 80% of the time you will have with them, face-to-face, for the remainder of their lives. Treasure these next 18+ months. Best to you.
Dawg we're like the same runner lmao. I individually qualified for the NCHSAA 4A state meet and flopped hard when i got to kernersville. I also shaved off 80 seconds as a junior. I also went off at NXR💀
