Hii ❤❤❤ I applied for a student visa (subclass 500) on June 7. On August 5, the Department of Home Affairs requested that I upload a new Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) under section 57, which I did on August 6. It's been almost 15 days since then, and I'm wondering how long it typically takes to receive a decision. Thank you in advance for your help-I really appreciate it!
Hello! Unfortunately there is no specific timeline on these things. Generally, they will wait until the end of the 28 day period to make a decision. Hopefully you got some good news!
Hello, I appreciate your video. I am very concerned as I received an S57 today regarding my application for a tourist visa. Reason being that I answered "No" when asked if I had previously been denied or had your visa cancelled in Australia or another country. Sincerely, I overlooked this question, assuming it had to do with rejection rather than visa withdrawals. Additionally, I did not receive a cancelation confirmation from my agent following the withdrawal because it was from 2018 and this application was handled by himself until visa withdrawal. I attempted to get in touch with my agent to obtain the necessary documents, but he has a history of being slow to respond, so I'm concerned that I won't hear back from him within the allotted 7 days. What steps should I take next, in your opinion? Is it feasible for me to reply and receive a favourable result using the documents and explanation I have on hand? I would be extremely grateful for any guidance or suggestions you could provide.
Hi Emma - you could also ask for an extension of time if you want to get evidence from your last lawyer / agent. Best for you to explain the situation and what happened regarding that question... so the Department does not take the view that you provided incorrect infomration.
@@diaryofamigrationlawyer Thank you so much! Thankfully my previous agent has reached out to me immediately and helped me re-lodge a new application to provide the correct information, apparently my application got refused without me knowing. He said it's because of clerical error in their office. Fingers crossed it will be approved soon.
Hello, I received s57 on aug 26 regarding COE they were asking new coe deferal coe . I upload it on aug30. But i haven't got visa decision till now.. will i get my visa? How much time it takes?

@@dibashgaming5948 without reviewing your application, I have no idea what your chances of success are - sorry. Getting a s57 does not change your prospects of success. Ensuring that you meet all of the visa criteria and provide supporting evidence is critical to success of your application.
Hi, I have been refused visa to a different country. While applying for an Australian student visa, I was asked if I had been refused visa to Australia or any other country. But I honestly didn’t see “any other country” so I ticked no. I have been served with an S57. I wrote a response but my agent is saying we should withdraw and reapply? Kindly advise. It would mean so much to me. Thank you 🙏🏻

I applied for a combine visa while being student in Australia to bring my spouse. But during initial visa application I haven’t mentioned about by girl friend but later i went offshore and got married. After getting married i requested for a combine visa mentioning our past relationship but case officer released a S57 letter stating that i had failed to mention about being in relationship with my girlfriend if we were dating for a long time. I am really worried as my current student visa is also at risk. Please suggest what should be done? My relationship and marriage is genuine but in my country we keep our relationship private before getting married thats why I didn’t mentioned it in my initial application.
You only need to disclose if you were in a de-facto relationship to begin with (eg. never married) unless you were engaged on the initial visa application? Otherwise, getting married and disclosing your relationship later should be okay. If you want to chat about it, get in touch with us at hello@passageco.com.au and we can arrange a chat with Rachael. Thanks!
My australia study visa got refused on 20th july and I reapply on 22th july, i applied my visa with same documents. In hope of that my university will give me deffered COE. But my universiry denied to give me updated COE and i received s57 request on 9th august asking me to provide a new COE. Meanwhile i had applied in a college and after paying the tution fee i got my new COE from new institute. And uploaded it to my immiaccount on 31th august. Is there any chances that I can get my visa or not? Because i have applied for diffrent university and updated the COE from another institute. Please guide me i am very tense.

I received an s57 for visa 190 application due to medical reasons. I have a past history of leukemia but already in remission. But the medical officer still concluded that a hypothetical person with the same condition could have a strain on the Australian healthcare system & would cost AUD500,000 for treatments & medical expenses. He concluded that I did not satisy the health requirements. How do I respond to this if I’m already in remission & treatment-free?? And this has been mentioned already during my medicals. I’m not sure why the medical officer still didn’t take it into consideration?
Hi there, that is very interesting decision! It may be possible to appeal and present the information (again) about your remission. If you would like too make a time to chat, my calendar is here: calendly.com/rachaelpassageco/gettoknowyou?month=2023-12
