Any reason you didn't rev the bsp motor out? Stock class clone engines are turning around 7000 rpms with that same combination of carb, head, and cam, however they are running more timing usually 34-36* btdc. Give that bsp 212 the timing, more rpms, and a good .615 carb and you will have a good little cheater engine. It would be interesting to see you throw a hood builder prepared clone in the mix from someone like vause, dover, p&p, etc..

Why in the world would you limit the timing on the bsp and only rev it to 5000? Cool idea but very flawed test parameters.
