Shot a night match last weekend, we did some apples to oranges comparisons at the end between an AR with a 11.5" barrel(w/ Adj GB) with an RC2, a 12.5" with a Mini and a 10.3" with an RC3. To me, the RC2 was the quietest, the other two sounded very similar.
I also found that my RC3 and Mini 2 have a similar tone at the ear on 10.3 and 11.5. RC2 sounds more like a suppressed 556, Mini 2 & RC3 sound like a quieter unsuppressed 556 shot.
I run an RC2 Mini on my Knights 11.5 CQB. I wanted the ballistics of the 11.5 in a package smaller than my MK18 with the full-size RC2… the RC2 Mini does everything I want on that setup. So glad I got it.
Thanks for listening to the podcast! Regarding suppressing your pistol - the PTR VENT 2 can be an option if you procure a compatible piston/spring assembly. We have not tested that yet, actually. @@TheJaySituation The mini was my first can and I run it on my 13.9 Triarc with a warcomp (yeah I know ) but it’s a hassle to swap it out). Looking at getting a can for my 11.5 BCM. Leaning towards the rc3, polonium or the cgs after all the info you did on it. What’s your advice on what I should get?
